So does this shit have a fricking memory leak issue or something? Because whenever I play games after having Firefox opened with lots of tabs I get sudden huge framedrops at points, doesn't seem to matter what game, if I closed Firefox,or ran it in troubleshoot mode; only fix so far seems to just be to restart my PC.

It gets installed because there's pop-ups when using Google Search (and maybe other Google products) on a non-Chrome browser
Probably reads something like "Google <product> works best with Google Chrome" and that's enough for any normalgay, especially boomers, to click the big obvious Install button

So, you continue to have the problems after closing Firefox? Well, then that's certainly not the problem. Once the process quits, the operating system will immediately be able to allocate memory of other processes to the pages that it used to consume, there's no lasting effects even if it used up the entirety of your physical memory.

Chromium. It's still Chrome, it still spies on you, but its fully open source and has a lot of AIDS removed from it. Firefox-based browsers are just the new IE.

Make your own user.js, and create a Firefox profile with it already in the folder you choose

Anon, if you kill the firefox process, all the memory the process used is freed. A memory leak doesn't make weird behaviour after the program. It's just a bunch of memory that can't be deleted anymore, because the programmer forgot to delete something he allocated.
