However, post game is nothing but symbiotes by the time you're finished so it doesn't even revert into going into all sorts of crime like the previous games so the only time you run into Hunters or Cultists is if they just so happen to be coming after them the same time you are. Honestly, I feel like how they've handled spider-man is kind of wrong. It's too focused on the super-hero shit only when having to balance Peter Parker and Spider-man is the entire ethos of the comics.
It should have had a real-time time-management system in it where you have to try to save as many people while trying to fit in Peter-Parker appointments and activities into your life. Try to save the schoolbus full of children but don't forget your anniversary. Make sure you stop shocker but also you need to get to work.
Have two skill trees: Great Power and Great Responsibility. The former is about beating up bad guys, the latter is more about mobility and helping to prevent civilians from getting involved. And the skills aren't just useful in spider-man gameplay but can be used as by Peter Parker during Civilian gameplay

If you're referring to why no regular crime happens after a point then no, that'd be giving the devs too much credit. Kraven only went after supervillians anyway since he was actively looking for someone to end his life. He needed someone "worthy" of the Hunt. I don't know why they had to give him his own entourage when he's worked just fine solo in the past and even when he didn't it was because he had a very small group in the family involved. Taskmaster was used better in this regard in the first game because he would oftentimes come at you when you least expected it. As for your last point, while I do like being able to pull off shit as Peter, I don't know if a game like that would be as well received if it were split down the middle in such a way. It's hilarious though because an early theme of SM2 seems to be "Balance" but by the end of the game Peter's passed the torch on to Miles completely.

I would say there is huge chemistry between them. Leon behaves like he should, a secret operative focusing on his mission while Ashley is a normal young girl whose world was turned upside down. I was thinking about this last night. People say Miles is Peter but black, but he isn't. What does Miles actually HAVE as a hook?
People hate Spider-Man (in-universe). They don't trust him, look down on and disrespect him, and are quick to turn on and assume the worst of him despite him always disproving that. That's his thing - going against the odds and coming out on top.
He's either poor, unlucky, or both. He's relatable. But has an extremely poor sense of personal responsibility. He has a history of letting down those closest to him as a result of this, frequently losing and turning his closest friends away because of his commitment to his alter ego. Notably, for the longest time, the woman who raised him hated Spider-Man. And it was Peter's own actions that led the man who raised him to be murdered. He's also is typically shown to be a dickhead in the past, especially to his own clones. People dislike him as a result.
But Miles, no one hates Miles. He was invited to the Avengers parties while they specifically chose to ignore Spidey. He has no real schism in his personal life to speak of that comes close to Peter's. He's immediately accepted as another Spider-Man and trusted by the community at large despite there being a history of copycats of Spider-Man himself, which contributed to people's lack of trust in Spidey. He doesn't have any real qualms about being away from his home universe, and has little to no student-teacher dynamic with Spidey when Peter is the only reason he exists, and was the foundational reason for him reluctantly trying and take up after him out of guilt for not helping Ultimate Peter.
Miles lacks any kind of hook. They try and pad him with cool powers and independence but it's entirely undeserved. It's like trying to make Robin independent of Batman without ever having him work alongside him as a sidekick. It doesn't work. It's cheap.

What he's begging for is for Tombstone not to go and slaughter innocent bystanders in retaliation for Spidey's meddling in Tombstone's affairs.
Spidey is begging for the lives of others, not for his own. It's still denigrating that the hero of the story, so-called AMAZING, isn't able to get out and succeed and overcome the odds on his own merits, as you'd think the AMAZING, SPECTACULAR, ASTONISHING, SENSATIONAL Spider-Man would do, but has to rely on a no-name mook to save his ass because he's too weak and ineffectual to survive on his own.
But at the very least it's true to Peter's character. He's trying to save people. He easily deals with pain and punishment and doesn't care about his own safety.
