Have you ever tried using the damn thing? It's like a cheat code on zones. You can just paint the whole thing for free and spam coolers for your team. Easy mode.
Only time I use it is when forced to in SR and like all chargers I hate it.
snipewriter is one of if not the best chargers in sr

It's really good in competitive when you can actually coordinate with your team. Insanely quick respawn+special saver is insane.

Got through all waves multiple times with randoms. Carried hard since two of the weapons are my mains, one I'm use to using and the other plays itself if you pick good spots. Better then the last two rotations for sure.

How do you even nerf the cooler so it's not on every comp team but still relevant in casual / rando play?
decrease the special saver ability from 100% to 85%
that way it can still be used to make risky plays, but without coming back with a potentially fully charged special
i don't think you really can without a full rework
at this point the best solution in my opnion is to nerf pencil so it's not the uncontested best cooler weapon, and add a few more kits with cooler so people have more options
I still remember people shitting on the pencil when it was first shown. And look at it now.

Here's the buff:

Weak range and slow time to kill. It's a timmy filter in that if you just walk up to it like a dummy it will kill you in a few blasts. But against a weapon with higher DPS/range it's a sitting duck.

Nobody uses that weapon compared to Carbon Deco. It's just a 10 point deduction, it's not really going to help it that much more. It doesn't have a burst bomb to paint like Deco either.

I like a lot of the PFS changes but why'd Range Blaster (Wavebreaker) go to 210 and why'd Carbon (Zipcaster) go to 160? That's the lowest a PFS has ever been.
There were 150p weapons in S2. It's not unprecedented.

Because it's a bottom tier weapon and nobody uses it over the deco variant. Even with 160p nobody is going to use it over deco which has burst bomb and trizooka. Carbon needs burst bomb. Zipcaster doesn't synergize that well with the weapon either.

Funny how the weapon designed to be very close range doesn’t work well with the special designed to put you at close range to anyone on the map
With the other weapons you have some range to work with, so you can zip close and attack from some distance without being directly in front of them and manage a kill. But with carbon it only works if you’re up their ass so when you zip in close they’ll likely just move and kill you because you do the damage of a gnats fart from anything that isn’t point blank. Not to mention that zipcaster buff basically invalidated the weapons zipcaster use entirely since you can kill anyone by zipping on top of them. Literally no reason to use carbon for zipcaster
If you want zipcaster you have the Splatana w/ a burst bomb, very decent range and the benefit of a close range OHKO. It does everything you could want out of a carbon w/ zip but more.
vcarbon probably has close to 0 usage since carbon deco is stricty better, so this is them desperately trying to get someone to use it

It’s 3 strong weapons and an inkbrush. Hydra can be a bit unwieldy for most players though. I think the loadout is strong overall

Anyone else likes the original S-BLAST? The sprinklers really make it easier to paint and be able to use super. I'm not good and consistent enough to aim for limited deaths per game.
one burst bomb paints more than the sprinkler, and you can use multiple of them
That's what I thought as well but in practice I keep getting in situations where I don't have enough ink with burst bombs vs sprinklers. I got no Idea why other than me being a shitter. Also it's fun bursting rainmakers with sprinklers.
I like it, I have four stars on it and have barely touched the burst bomb one. It's the worst painting weapon in the game, so having a sprinkler and a quick, aggressive special that also paints a lot really helps it out.
Or maybe I'm just weird. I like all of the individual parts of the kit, while a lot of people probably don't.
I can see if you're really aggressive, good at aiming and one shotting enemies the burst bomb would be better but the original is better to play with and I already 5 starred the burst bomb one.

My guess is that Saber_Heavy is the dynamo or painbrush of the splatana class. Something that slashes very slowly but inks far and does a lot of damage, charge attacks taking a long time but maybe killing multiple people like a charger?

I’d place doubt on that given reeflux is the close-range stringer. I’d imagine it would be a similar “heavy” variant of the stringer that places focus on the exploding projectiles. Maybe longer range though the explosion part could be anything
I think it's only gonna fire one big projectile instead of a set personally, being able to shoot thee projectiles with considerable blast radiuses sounds pretty busted in terms of potential space control.
saber is self explanatory
stringer, is probably a heavier stringer, takes longer to charge, bolts take longer to explode but ink more on impact, do more damage and have a larger explosion radius, at full charge (or maybe half charge?) the bolts explosions count as a bomb type damage (flyfish killer) and when releasing at full charge a smaller explosion happens around your squid/octo (coming from the stringer due to the heavy charge just released), dealing 30 bomb type damage (can be used to kill flyfishs near ledges/corners)
