Can't be that perfect if I never played it
for morons with shit taste.
These. One of the worst roguelites on the market. Only salvaged by ok writing.
The characters all have a lot of dialog and it is really pretty to look at, plus the soundtrack is alright. Gameplay wise it needed more areas and a few more weapons or slightly more bombastic powers.
not enough levels and enemies
correct
I liked the vn part, but runs got really samey real quick
also the only romanceable female is killjoy c**t with a voice of a chain smoker
still, pretty good game
babby's first decent vidya
Hades is the definition of mediocre
what it has is fine but aside from my urge to cum inside Dusa none of it is remarkable
Normalgays have really never played a decent game in their life so it blew their mind
I have Bastion,Transistor and Pyre all sitting on my ps4 because I bought them all and never played them and they became part of my endless backlog.
Which one should I play first?
Reverse order. Pyre --> Transistor --> Bastion. That way they get increasingly better rather than more shitty.
Pyre and transistor are both trash. Bastion is better but not even worth playing.
bastion is the only good one. i was hyped for transistor because of how good bastion was. played like an hour before realizing it was a shitty version of bastion. never even played the other one.
Godlike
perfect? no, the game is great however
Just started this today I bought it awhile ago it’s pretty good harder than I expected Elysium is brutal
Great game. Not perfect though.
Every run feels the same no matter what you pick up, terrible roguelike if you ask me
>t. played 40 minutes
>t. bad
unless you get one of legendary upgrades that just one shot shit, you're basically playing the same within your weapon type
roguelike was a massive mistake, terrible pacing, muddled gameplay
9/10, still very good, but definitely not perfect
NTA but I don't really disagree.
Running the same weapon doesn't really feel much different most of the time which made the gameplay the weakest component for me because of how many runs the devs expected the players to do.
When compared to other entries like Isaac, enter the gungeon, or Dead cells it felt lacking.
It probably doesn't help that you have to go through the same environments and there aren't too many bosses something other entries in the genre generally have more of explicitly to prevent things from getting stale.
I enjoyed it for a bit but am finding it hard to get myself back in to finish the main story as I much rather keep going for 5 BSC attempts on Dead cells.
>if fast/multihit attack go Ares, Zeus or Dio, maybe Demeter if you can stack her boons early
>otherwise go flat damage increase
>spam your aspect ability
Wow so different dude
Maybe this time I won't land Athena dash and have to settle for Posideon
Maybe I'll stack Call boons instead of crit effects
Amazing
>No Hephaestus
>No alternate Titan ending where you free Cronus, Coeus, and Prometheus and reconquer Olympus
>Perfect
There's almost never a situation where Athena's boons are preferable to anyone else's
Athena Dash is BiS for general use and her Call is up there
>There's almost never a situation where Athena's boons are preferable to anyone else's
Anyone who says this can have all their opinions safely disregarded.
Gameplay isn't even good, so the game ain't either. I don't care how many lines of dialog they recorded for it.
>It's another indie rogue like
Do they know how to make anything else?
As soon as you get a good build going, it goes to the shitty poison claustrophobic rat levels and then its over just as it was getting started
Bastion and Transistor were better.
I was surprised to hear they managed to make a fun game. Transistor and Bastion nailed every aspect except gameplay. I'll pick up haydeez when it's $5
I played this long after the initial hype so I wasn't there for the threads, but I don't get how you're supposed to play this game. Your stats and trinkets get better between runs so the game gets easier until you beat it. then once you do beat it, you're supposed to opt into some challenges to make it more difficult? wtf is that about, who is balancing this game me or the devs. Are you supposed to just try and beat the game without buying any upgrades or using trinkets?
I thoroughly enjoyed Hades from start to finish, I just wished there was more boss variety. There's like a thousand cool greek mythology monsters and heroes to pick from and we just get the hydra and theseus.
It's very short, but it might be tuned for the average player. I'm not great myself, but I beat the main story in 32 runs and didn't feel like continuing.
I thought Hades was easily Supergiant's most fun game, but I personally preferred Pyre in terms of story, lore, and characters.
Which is a bummer cause I'm pretty sure that only myself and nine other people ever played Pyre, because anyone interested in a fantasy RPG visual novel probably doesn't give two shits about NBA Jam styled sports gameplay.
nice music at least
>roguelite where most of your upgrades are percentage based increases and nothing else
Who would even play this
i don't think there's ever been a more overrated game by the general public
put a bit of bisexual bait in your video game and you get simps for life i guess
Finished my first run a few days ago with a bit under 20 hours (on hell-mode) and HARD disagree. It tries to solve the major issues in the rogue-like genre (too much randomness) by not even being a fricking rogue-like (every run feels exactly the same), and this is done despite the games progression being tied to playing it ad infinitum as if it actually were one. The combat is also mashy and repetitive. The same
>mindlessly attack while dashing around
strategy works for 90% enemies which just makes every passing moment blend together by the time you reach the end.
All in all it's just repetitive as hell and that's probably the worst problem to have for a game in it's genre.
Congrats on 20 hours of playing it wrong.
"omg you didn't know everything about the game from the get-go?!?!?!?"
shut the frick up
pic unrelated
It's great and I have played it the longest of all my Switch games. I love what they do with the narrativa and how it uses the medium to tell the story. I think the last game I saw doing that so well was the first Metroid Prime. Too bad all the Hades threads I see starts with "Perfect 10/10" so are full of braindeads coming to talk shit about it.
Sorry, I'm waiting for it to be sub-$20. How long might that take? I'm also waiting on Dark souls remastered to be lower than 20 but apparently it's never happened.
It's free on gamepass
Runs don't have enough variation. You're able to manipulate what you get to such an extent that you usually get exactly what you want every run, and the bosses only getting slight variations from run to run is disappointing. It could really use an expansion, but that hasn't really been Supergiant's MO.
Just reminded me I've got one achievement left, maxing out all of the standard keepsakes
Skul is better
When the frick do I open that big ass door on the left wing past the trophies? I'm at heat level 4 with spear. what a fun moveset
After your 9th successful escape
Is it worth pirating it?
yeah
before it runs out of steam it's very good
That's not Pyre. Still pretty good, though.
But why can't you frick Hypnos?
