nta but yes, it doesn't affect me, but since I'll not buy the game because of the shit localization, the devs will get less money, which will make them close their studios faster and stop paying for moronic localizers like you. Get fricked, westoid.
>Certainly the writer's intention was not to offend anybody and that would be offensive
These stupid assuming c**ts just assume people are offended by anything even remotely gritty
It's true though. There was some guy on t*****r yesterday that was actually very offended by a scene in persona 4 in which everyone was eating watermelon and the girls had their knees together while sitting and had smaller watermelon slices than the boys.
He wrote this whole cringy dialogue between the characters talking about why they give the girls smaller watermelon slices.
And the localizer is right, the writers didn't intend to offend anyone with their watermelon slices and girls sitting how girls normally do, and no one in Japan would think twice at this. It's not meant to be an offensive scene, but in America...
Blame Americans for being a shit audience to market to
Don't hate the player hate the game
Just wanted to ask here, I remember seeing someone post about a Japanese dev who was originally "woke" and supporting this type of localization actually breaking and fighting with their translator on Twitter after the translator started bashing how Japanese media depicts women standing with their feet pointing inwards, because that's a cultural thing pushed by women in Japan, does anyone have caps or links to that?
>Why is this a thing people would get pissed by? I just don't understand.
NTA
There is a type of person called a malcontent. They have a constant, unrelenting psychological desire to cause drama just for the sake of attention even if it's negative attention towards them. They have always existed. And in today's society, you derive power from being seen as a victim. Combined with that grievances/"Social Justice" is an lucrative industry in of itself. So there are large groups of people who derive joy from creating shit like that picture and that this somehow "makes all women get seen as sex objects/as weak and get denied good careers" and this gets supported or even encouraged by organizations such as SBI or NAACP because this justifies their jobs.
This is why "progress" is never ending and social issues will never be "solved" because it would mean the lost of worthless multi-billion dollar industries and easy political campaigning.
No how about we stop retreating for once and make the localizers do their jobs properly or kick them out of the industry
porque no los dos?

>the localizer is right
LOL, you're not serious are you ?
>now have to deal with grifters in my jap games
if you don’t already vaguely know what VAs are saying in your japanese game you purchased you shouldn’t have fricking bought it nor should you complain
I learned japanese 15 years ago for this very reason. I work as a japanese/english translator at the factory I'm employed at and I haven't bought a localized game like this in that amount of time. I only play imported copies of japanese games. If it's not a direct translation it shouldn't allowed to be sold.
I started 9 years ago. It was painful getting rid of my massive English-translated manga, doujinshi and JRPG collection, but I couldn't stomach to read them like that.
And how does this affect you? You parasite.

I actually wanted to buy this game and try out the series.
Now I don't.
At least until a translation patch comes around.
you are the parasite you fricking piece of shit, sub human trash, fricking homosexual, stfu and kys

Its funny because it more laziness than anything else.
oh frick I forgot it was in the anime and not some glitch in the game. fricking hell, thanks anon
>Fight demons and deities all day long
>Heavily manipulated by a local deity
>One of your friends appears in the same area twice
Checks out.
>pump rando's gas for an entire year until Japanese Scooby Doo figure out you are some sort of weird fog god

The Fata Morgana dev supported the "tsundere means incel" localization
Men stand with their feet pointing outwards because they have balls while women don't, it's a tell tale sign
women have many awful things they have to deal with, but the dreaded ballsqueeze is not one of them
I genuinely am having such a hard time believing you. I seriously feel like you're fricking with me here.
And then you linked it.
Why is this a thing people would get pissed by? I just don't understand.

Honestly, it's hard to tell criticism from satire anymore.
No how about we stop retreating for once and make the localizers do their jobs properly or kick them out of the industry
so whens firefall coming out?
>Stellar Blade getting cooked in reviews
>Time to spread FUD and doompost about Japan
asiaticshills are so predictable
None of this reveal would have happened if they didn't put "chud" in there
That's how arrogant they are. They feel they can get away with putting political slurs in a game.
How the hell is a cannibalistic humanoid underground dweller a political slur? Are cannibals a large percentage of the voter base in America or what?

They need to start using AI so these cretins don't tarnish their work and hopefully lose their jobs
I'm just growing out of video games at this point. Nerdy hobbies are just facets for politics now and I'd rather do anything else.
Not my problem.
t. ruski
Invest in and promote (open source) AI localization. That's the only way to defeat this.
All he's actually saying is that Americans think Japanese culture is offensive, so it needs to be censored.

Games are being pozzed even before the translation part. See the live a live remake. You are just wasting your time.
That's only Square and Capcom which have inhouse shitshow localization sections
