I like Thief's End. The rendering of Libertalia was nicely-done.
It's only dead because Naughty Dog would rather put its efforts into making gay post-apocalypse games than focus on this. If they make another one, I think they should dial back the climbing because it's beyond unrealistic.
The mod where you replace her with old-school Lara Croft makes it better, and makes you realize just how much more like the 1st-generation TR games Uncharted is than current-generation nu-Lara is.

I finished it twice. It's pacing is fricked dude, there is no way around it. I played Lost Legacy right after it and difference was night and day. It improves pacing by a huge shot. Doesn't overstay it's welcome with pointless driving and climbing too. U4's problem was 2 moronic design choices that was removed during the last stages of it's development.
1- Climbing used to include a stamina bar, so you weren't just mindlessly climbing. You needed to look into your stamina bar otherwise you'd fail.
2- They originally thought Nate wasn't going to use guns during the first half. Only in second half when shit hits the fan. That never happened either unless you decide to adopt stealth.
When you remove 2 important design choices during the late stages of development it effects the quality of the product badly. U4 isn't the best Uncharted due to it's pacing.

Uncharted 1 wasn't as bad as I thought it was, definitely a decent game
U2 was really disappointing considering how hyped it is but it's still a good game that I enjoyed
U3 was really awesome, I didn't expect it to like it as much. It kept all the things U2 did well without the shitty parts like bosses or the guardian enemies.
The only thing that's better in u3 than 2 are the "puzzles". The level design is a step down overall. Game was also bluntly unfinished and the port is buggy as hell. There's only 1 real boss in u2, lazarevic and he was ok. The shitty cosplayer monkeys were replaced by almost as shitty hallucination guys, but at least the section is shorter.
First game is a clunky prototype with horrible "setpice" , the jetski one and an immortal Hispanic for a final boss. Only complete contrarians would rank it above 4 and lost lesbians.
I feel like U3 had better level design than 2 and also benefited from having new kinds of gunfights where Nate is climbing and shooting with the camera angled upward. Completely fits the Uncharted aesthetic
Melee was the best in 3. The ability to grapple and throw people down stairs or off ledges was great, no idea why they toned it back down with 4

I personally liked those guardians, you basically needed to use Nate's mobility to maintain your distance from them while still playing aggressive to put them down. Was a nice variety from the usual weapon wielding goons you usually fought.
Even if the 3th one is my favorite too, i feel the inclusion of a monster type enemy would add a lot to it, that fire jinx enemy that appeared almost at the end was criminally underutilized even if it has its plot reasons for it.

All of these games are absolute trash.
1-3 are enjoyable. Enemies are awful damage sponges and some levels are just trash.
It's very fun to play around in a Indiana Jones movie. It's what most movie games should aim for. They all had successful emotional beats while also having good spectacle.
I think 4 and tlou focus too much on the emotional beats and drama. Games work well as a good action movie.
3 > 2 > 4 > 1

I played till the part were i scaped that panamanian jail.
I really didn't like it, it was boring in comparation with the first 3, it gets better?
After the jail you do a heist on a building Rafe is at and it only really picks up right at the end of that section.
Then you go to Angle Land after Rafe's legal acquisition and Nadine's personal army. It's a fairly long section leading to the crew escaping and there's a fair amount of gunfights.
Then you get to the open world jeep segment where everything is sequestered into smaller areas and guards are guarding each area so if you go off the beaten path you get more gunfights, if you stay on the beaten path there's like three gunfights?
Then you get to the drama portion for like an hour with some puzzle solving after which you start the Libertalia part of the game which is where you're getting in constant gunfights that are a pain in the ass on Crushing.
Then it's finally the "supernatural" part of the game which is explosive-rigged mummies. There is no supernatual part of 4.
Then it's finally the showdown and it's fairly boring and annoying if on Crushing.
4 is great too, the entire franchise is great really, even LL. Yeah they're movie games but I like movies too what's so wrong with movies

To be honest, i never liker playing any game of this series on any difficulty harder than normal because one of my favorite aspects of it is using drake's movement to get close to the enemies to bash their heads. Playing on hard or harder, it turns basically into a cover shooter.
I haven't played this on PC yet but I have a feeling this shit would be trivial with mouse aiming.
Never bothered with 4 in crushing, in fact it's the only game I only beat once
With 2/3/LL I actually had fun playing them besides the trophy hunting
U1 is just painful, pretty, but painful

You can do that fairly easy. iirc it's difficulty free, so you can pick the easiest, take all cheats like unlimited ammo, skip cutscenes and be done in 4 or so hours.

2 is one of the greatest games of all time. It's perfectly paced with a fun story and really well written, enjoyable dialogue. Combat is extremely fun and translated well into one of the greatest multiplayer modes of all time
4 would be a good game if it wasn't obvious that Cuckmann was out to shit on Amy's story and can't write anything actually fun, it has to be so overly emotional that it's basically beating you over the head with it. Some of the worst pacing I've ever seen in a video game too
