Arlo is always right.
>B-B-BUT
I said ALWAYS.
He has some dumb opinions, plus he doesn't really like anime stuff and doesn't seem to really care about anything outside the major stuff. See his reaction to the Famicom Detective Club remake
>metroid prime 4 should be a full open world fps
He's a genuine fencesitting dicksucker with no real opinion of his own because everything he says needs to be okay with daddy israelitetendo lest they opt out of giving him review codes.
It won't be good because the people making the game are one of the biggest factors on how well it will end up. I can only belive the reason you would say this is either you're really fricking stupid and don't know how stuff gets made in general, or you're want more shit to complain about and you're trying to make things worse on purpose.
He is partially right. Forcing a team to make something will likely suck, but they should see if outside studios have interest, like Sega doing F-Zero and Treasure with WarioWorld.
>"PLEASE JUST KEEP PUMPING OUT MORE AND MORE SLOP NINTENDO! I CAN ONLY PLAY GAMES IF THEY COME FROM NINTENDO!"
Total Nigtendrone Death.
What game is he b***hing for now, Star Fox and F-Zero? How come he ignored the Another Code re-release or the Endless Oceam sequel
He is right they can just outsource to wayforward if they wanted to reivive an obscure ip
This mentality proved the deep ignorance to believe talent is infinite and any team can handle any project with good results. Despite every medium having proven this not to be the case time and time again.
It's infinite if you're willing the pay the money for top talent, yes.
It's not like takes a very high bar for third parties to surpass the quality or output of modern games anyway, with maybe the exception of Smash and Monolith Soft's stuff (to an extent.)
There are better indie platformers than Mario, DK, Kirby, etc out there, there are better "cozy" games than Animal crossing out there, modern Zelda is just over-glorified Ubislop these days, and Luigi's Mansion, Mario Kart, Splatoon, etc are all AA efforts that can easily be achieved by an experienced & talented AA studio.
Nintendo won't do it though, because that would easily expose their 1st-party teams as the outdated, washed-up hacks that they are.
>It's infinite if you're willing the pay the money
Stopped reading there. Negative IQ, not worth the time.
you made the right call, i read all of it and it only got worse from there.
It absolutely is IF you find the right talent, yes.
It's not like there's a very high bar to set or surpass, either way. As previously mentioned, most modern Nintendo titles are cheap AA-tier projects made for literal children and generally succeed off of brand name alone. The majority of them aren't AAA-tier in scope (at least not yet) with over-bloated budgets, massive open worlds, overtly complex live-service BS and optimization issues out the ass.
But then the IP just suffers from Simpsons syndrome where every game is a boring ass "Has Bart ever owned a bear" gimmick. Just look at how modern Kirby games are glorified mad libs
>Kirby and robots
>Kirby and evil flowers
>Kirby and abandoned human city
>Kirby and ect ect ect
You really want every IP to be that watered down?
The Modern Kirby games are good through.
pffft, the last good kirby game was super star ultra and thats a remake
This place shits on arlo but then you have moronic posts like this one, and don't take me wrong I fricking hate arlo.
how am I wrong?
???
Many of their first-party titles are already suffering from this shitty gimmick mentality, just look at Mario Odyssey or Zelda ToTK for starters.
mario odyssey is good whats your point?
My point is that your statement is irrelevant when Nintendo's first party teams are already doing this gimmicky shit with their IPs (and have been for decades now.) Having a second or third-party studio do it wouldn't make a damn difference at this point.
>Kirby and robots
This one's among the best in the series, so your argument sort of falls apart.
Better then not existing at all.
Point taken, too much mediocre content leads to oversaturation, that's what killed the Capeshit market and Star Wars for the entertainment industry after all.
The problem though, is that some of these games aren't living up to their insane waiting times either.
I disagree. No point in existing if it's not good.
Your guage of what is good is not universal.
>Kirby and this internet forum shitpost
Speaking of boring.
Yet they remain unsurpassed, the only platformer that's arguably better than Donkey Kong is yet more Gonkey Kong, and where's the competitor to Luigi's Mansion, or the game that tops Mario Kart, or the game that tops Splatoon in originality/approach to tps, there's nothing, Splatoon is easily the top of that genre when it comes to competitive play as well as just plain old gameplay itself. I love it when morons like yourself post such blatantly shitty opinions with no backing.
At least we woulnt have to wait for years for the garbage to be made, pretending that more frequent releases by newer teams woulnt give us at least some good games in the same time is moronic.
Sort of.
Nintendo doesn't want to just give away their IP to other studios for many reasons and one of the big ones is because they respect the original teams/ creators behind these franchises. Look up the Iwata Asks interview about Punch Out for Wii, Nintendo went to the original creator first and got his blessing before working with Next Level Games on that instalment.
No
My favorite is F-Zero "fans" wanting IS to make a F-Zero game.
He is.
Nintendo absolutely has the money to do it and if they really wanted to, they could just outsource some of their lesser-known (or even dead) IPs to second or third-party studios and see how it goes.
I haven't gotten a new panel de pon in years
I want Lip in smash.
If they announced that Arlo would be complaining it's not a new Wario, Star Fox or F-Zero game
I've been playing Panel de Pon religiously on emulator and the Nintendo Shop for two years now and I haven't even gotten a wink
One day, Lip will reclaim the her rightful place as one the pillars of the action puzzle genre.
there better be hd sound effects and loud trumpets claiming I BTFO'd Elias.
You are going to get a completely characterless Planet Puzzle League and ur gonna like it.
>Hello I'm a Nitnendo youtuber haha. I don't like any video games other than these two specific Nintendo IPs, and btw I hate every entry in those series unless it was on SNES or Gamecube.
Why the FRICK is this so common.
Because Nintendo was legitimately better in the pre-Wii days. The Wii era marked the beginning of the quality-output downfall.
Oh good point I forgot to add that
>Hello I'm a Nitnendo youtuber haha. I don't like any video games other than these two specific Nintendo IPs, and btw I hate every entry in those series unless it was on SNES or Gamecube. The Wii era marked the beginning of the quality-output downfall.
Anything else to add to this basic b***h opinion?
>anything else to add?
Yeah you forgot that they never like RPGs except Persona 5 for some reason.
I feel like SNES fans tend to be cool overall.
>cuboid trying to latch onto snesboomers
I'm pretty sure he HATES the Yoshi games that weren't made by Miyamoto so I don't know why he's saying this.
>I'm pretty sure he HATES the Yoshi games that weren't made by Miyamoto
Does anybody like them?
>advocating pumping out slop because you want FRANCHISE +1 over an actual game
This guy is clueless.
I don't like having to wait a decade for each Star Fox only for it to probably not be good.
I'd much rather have consistently released "okay" games like Kirby.
why are you even attach to starfox? play another shmup
Starfox isn't a shmup in the first place.
dumb thread
if it sells, they make more
This homosexual doesn't know anything about video games or Nintendo yet he has a platform. Just get someone else to make it is the most moronic shit. Donkey Kong Country Returns while good is completely different from the originals. Just get a different grandma to make apple pies just like she used to. Just get a different team to make a new Battletoads nothing could go wrong.
>"Those games you want should be made by whatever random team is available within Nintendo, nothing could go wrong!"
Even changing one member of the leadership of a franchise can cause irreparable damage and you want to swap out entire dev teams like they're interchangeable? Frick off.
They have already done exactly that with teams not even a part of Nintendo.
Arlo is just way too fricking obsessed with Nintendo mascots rather then the actual games themselves.
He wants more Warioland or Metroid because he wants to see the characters tossed around like fricking action figures, not because he feels that the franchises have more mechanical potential
Metroid and Star Fox absolutely do have a ton of potential going for them though.
Warioland - eh, maybe they could attempt a revival if they tie it to a movie gig or something, with Wario showing up as a major antagonist for a movie. Worked for the Peach game.
>Metroid
Literally just got a game
>Star Fox
Has always struggled with its own identity ever since Rare fricked the series raw dog. Last game bombed because people don't actually want Star Fox they want fur pandering.
>Wario Land
Got replaced with Warioware, difficult to convince Nintendo higher ups that Wario platformers have a purpose in a post NSMB world.
>Literally just got a game
Yes, but it could be so much more. We're long overdue for that fourth Prime game.
>ast game bombed because people don't actually want Star Fox they want fur pandering.
They might as well, furries are an untapped market for whaling, and rail shooters are a dead genre either way. If there's one dead Nintendo IP that could use a completely new formula and general revival, it's this one.
>We're long overdue for that fourth Prime game.
Vaporware
>They might as well, furries are an untapped market for whaling
Don't invite that evil.
>Vaporware
It's still actively being worked on, according to Retro's website.
>Vaporware
Probably, unfortunately. Still living off of the hope that they're shelving it for the Switch 2.
>Don't invite that evil.
Nintendo already invites all types of degeneracy behind their family-friendly curtain, adding furries to the mix won't make much of a difference.
Are the people who want to frick pokemon not already furries?
Forgot about Pokemon since the IP isn't "technically" owned by them, but thanks for further proving my point.
Let Pokemon soak up the furgays and pedos, keep them away from Nintendo's real ips.
>pedos
They're already in multiple Nintendo IPs/communities, and have been for years.
Popular games typically aimed at children will ALWAYS garner pedos.
Yeah, cuz Mario, Zelda, Kirby, etc etc doesn't have a furry and dicky sect.
Especially the vore fetishist behind Kirby Guardian...or all those stupid "hung shota" larpers self-inserting as Young Link each occasional Zelda thread...and don't get my started on Splatoon.
The new Tales games sucked too and Arise seemingly killed the franchise.
Isn't Arise the best selling in the series by a decent margin? the only thing it did is kill the series on nintendo hardware showing that it's not at all necessary to succeed.
Selling as much as Symphonia and Vesperia isn't impressive.
The same games would have sold as much if put out today
Just because they treat talented hentai arrists as professionals with no repurcussions doesn't mean they're okay with you putting out smut of Bowser's DM frickin dick online.
Stupid coomer.
>We're long overdue for that *6th Metroid game.
Fixed
Get fricked FPSturds, Prime 4 and those upcoming remasters are pending trash fires.
José coming to save this franchise again.
I'll never understand people who get this angry over the Prime games.
Halo, not even Marathon, is not Metroid, simple as.
>"I wish Nintendo cared about their more niche IP!"
>Endless Ocean, Another Code, Famicom Detective Club
>"NOOOOO NOT THOSE I MEANT THE ONES I KNOW FROM SMASH THAT I NEVER PLAYED"
Did you see his reaction to the FDC remake?
no
It was during the Direct where they announced it and all he said was "...I don't know how to react... to THIS". He just sounded frustrated and showed me he doesn't really give a shit about Nintendo IPs that aren't represented by playable characters in Smash
Was looking for his reaction, and found something mildly amusing. He was reacting to the direct in which the Ninja Gaiden Collection was announced and said
>Can imagine if the team that made this made a game nintendo game? Like take this kind of thing and make it like metroid or something
>Like metroid
lel, im tired of these youtubers that dont even actually play games
Or worse, they complain that there's not enough Mario/Zelda games on the console.
It certainly feels that way when the ones released are disappointing as shit and don't live up to the expectations of their waiting time.
I got turned off from Arlo when he stated in a video that Metroid 1 for NES is outdated despite admitting that he's never played it.
Also him referencing Jim Sterling's videos put a bad taste in my mouth.
>Metroid 1 for NES is outdated
he is correct
He made an opinion about something he never played.
>Why doesn't Nintendo just throw infinite resources at making infinite games?!
How long until he gets outed as grooming young boys on Discord?
I hate his voice so fricking much. Hearing someone larp toddler speak just makes me aggressive for some reason.
people are such children, not every IP needs constant new releases you just want to consume.
Depends on the target audience.
For people who enjoyed the Prime games, they haven't gotten anything truly new & worthwhile since 3 for the Wii.
For people who enjoy Star Fox, well, they haven't gotten a truly good game in decades now.
That's not how it works. There are enough people to make a bunch of games at one time. What games get made depends on what the people in charge want made. If they don't want to make a game for X series, it ain't getting made.
>Good Feel makes Princess Peach Showtime 3
>no longer making Yoshi games
>Yoshi gays start getting uppity and b***h at Xenoblade 5, Fire Emblem 23, Warioware, Pokémon Generation 11, Splatoon 5 and whatever Mario and Zelda games
>everyone is just doing the games they want to make
>just have someone else make it then
>when no one wants to make the Yoshi game and the team that would have made it is working on different shit
How the frick are there any Yoshi fans out there (in regards to games, not porn)? Literally the only good game in the series is Yoshi's Island. The series is pretty much the poster child of why just handing the series off to just another team is a bad idea.
It's just a fictional scenario. It's pretty much Wario Land gays when Warioware gets made. But also extends to Nintendo YouTubers who shit themselves every time Nintendo releases another Xenoblade and Fire Emblem instead of Golden Sun or F-Zero or Mario Kart Double Dash 2 or Melee HD or whatever.
If there's a Golden Sun, it won't be by current Camelot. Especially with a few somebodies being DEAD.
Pray Scamco reaches in and save GS from the israelites at ISIS and schizos at Monolith.
The Wii U one was actually decent.
>yoshi porn
How
I still like his cameo in Caddicarus' Spyro video.
>Fairies in my fur?! Fairies in my fur! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! AAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Arlo is a homosexual, I've basically been saying this for a decade+ but I'm glad to see people using my talking points, shame that mostly my shitposts see reuse.
>Just get a different team then
Done, Nintendo have done this for a lot of games, where do you think the new Metroids came from, or that atrocious Reboot camp, Nintendo aren't just going to hand any game to any team, they want the right teams and getting the right team for a new entry in a long loved series is extremely hard, just look at Metroid Prime 4, 2 years of development completely dropped because they chose the wrong team.
>NOOO YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE GAME I WANT TO PLAY NINTENDO AHHHHHHH
Meanwhile Sonygays are practically buried under the ever growing pile of their abandoned ips.
hes a paper mario homosexual and so is never right about anything, mostly due to brainrot similar to toxoplasmosis.
>"Just get a different team then."
It's not about just the desire to have something new out from an old IP, Nintendo already did this with Advance Wars and basically killed the IP dead, they got a team that was a fan favourite making multiple successful releases and it was still shit, why? because of the mismatch, well that and the team couldn't fricking help themselves with their own bs, but then look at Metroid, Nintendo got a team that fits and then tard wrangled them, there were hints at quality in Metroid Samus Returns but ultimately the game was lacking on so many levels and had a bunch of shit that really could have fricked off, and then you look at Metroid Dread, in the space of a single game a giant step up, things like the slide are tiny but fold back into the gameplay on so many levels that it feels like something that should have always been in Metroid.
Advance Wars was Wayforward's idea. I'm assuming F-Zero 99 was NST's idea and Metroid probably being Mercury Steam's idea and Super Mario RPG with Square Enix. I'm actually on board with other companies approaching Nintendo to use their unused IPs. My issue is Nintendo just assigning the IP to someone because they want a new game like Muppet homosexual is suggesting them to. The thing is no one wants his games besides him. Nintendo isn't going to revive a game on their volition if they don't want to. There's no obligation or financial incentive for them to. If no one will approach them to make a game it doesn't get made. Nintendo doesn't have any slacker teams not working on something for them to assign something to. They already did that with Metroid Prime 4 when Retro was slacking off after Tropical Freeze was done.
>My issue is Nintendo just assigning the IP to someone because they want a new game like Muppet homosexual is suggesting them to
To an extent that's my issue too, I want Nintendo to work with teams that they feel would be a good fit for a new entry in that game rather than just getting anyone on it, like the muppet fricker wants.
>If no one will approach them to make a game it doesn't get made
Nintendo internal staff regularly push for new entries in series that they enjoyed working on, it's always been an issue of manpower and priorities.
>Nintendo doesn't have any slacker teams not working on something for them to assign something to
Nintendo has priorities, Mario and Zelda keep the lights on and a single release of these games will pay for multiple years worth of other games development, so it's understandable that these games see regular releases and IP that sell significantly less are shelved, but even IP that sell less can still see regular releases, Fire Emblem hadn't broken 1 mil until Awakening, but Awakening is like it's 12th entry, but Fire Emblem had a team dedicated to making new Fire Emblem titles. we'd probably be there with a lot of Nintendo IP if they had dedicated development teams, especially external ones, internal ones tend to be put on what's profitable, although a lot of their internal teams manage external development teams and in the case of say Metroid, a lot of the design is handled by an internal Nintendo team.
All of that said Nintendo still have their own problems, they really should be investing more into their development partners, you can see them pushing Grezzo away with only letting them work on remakes, and Vanpool died being a Kirby dev support team, then you can go back to historial devs like Noise with Nintendo not bothering to push Custom Robo in the west and letting it wither.
>Nintendo already did this with Advance Wars and basically killed the IP dead
Reboot Camp sucked that badly?
I hope we don't see Wayforwards anywhere near that IP anytime soon, or any other Nintendo IP for that matter.
What happened? The game looks and plays fine.
Lots of small things,
>shitty new art style
>arbitrarily diverse soldiers
>buggy as frick
>sturms ultimate power just crashes the fricking game
>actions take longer than the original game
>made with unity
>wayforward is the kind of studio with a shitty track record that stops people from buying any game they touch
>delayed for years
>shitty online
>he thinks they are going to be remastered and not just ported
What causes this?
>shitty new art style
>arbitrarily diverse soldiers
>made with unity
>wayforward is the kind of studio with a shitty track record that stops people from buying any game they touch
Personal opinions, all of which sound petty and whiny.
Yeah but opinions held by many, they really worked their asses off to not sell a lot of people on a game that was basically a sure thing.
>here's your different team sir
We can all see how great this turns out
mania shows that this can work
It depends on who's idea it was for Arzest to make it. Mania was a passion project that they approached Sega for. If Superstars existed because Sega wanted a new 2D Sonic game and needed to find someone to shit it out that's the exact problem scenario.
>Grown man getting impatient that his children’s games aren’t getting made fast enough
Also, don’t these Nintendo fans love to go on about the amazing polish of Nintendo’s first-party games? Wouldn’t they prefer that Nintendo not rush out products?
I don't watch this gay. Is he genuinely upset that there are Nintendo IPs that are falling into obscurity, or is he just upset that his person favorites aren't getting new games every year? Did he support stuff like Reboot Camp and Another Code when those got made?
>screams for pikmin
>finally gets it
>doesn't talk about it ever again
>complains about other shit and cycle continues
goddamn. bad rep for nintendies.
I dont watch him but pikmin 4 was extremely disappointing so I get it
It's just content creators moving on the the next anger-retention grift for easy views.
Don't forget
>Only time it gets brought up is just in Smash threads
Now we know Pikmin gays are just babies who can't pick up and play real RTSes, as with fighting games.
>LET CHOVELWARE DEVS DIG THE GRAVES OF THE DEAD IPS EVEN DEEPER
moronic muppets never been right about anything
the Advance Wars remakes are ass
I want to frick that puppet. Arlo R34?
