>Blissey
Abso-fricking-lutely, the strongest Pokemon in the game did not need to evolve. >Froslass, Gallade
These are split evos >Azumarill
This is in Gen 2
Babies and split evos don't increase the power level of a Pokemon that's already new so they're not really comparable to the staple remover
I hate being reminded of gen 8 and 9 existing, so frick that. Also I really want to know what kind of frick weirdo designed a lighter-inhaler-drill-skyscraper who also gets a max form in one gen, then have it evolve into a staple remover-bridge, I don't know if any other Pokemon are that messy of a concept, let alone any getting preferential treatment like this.
Plus man, why THAT Pokemon? Gens 3-7 are already underserved, there's no reason to do a gen 8 Pokemon this soon.
When there's only so few gens around, recycling from a past gen is fine. Also, how can a new evo be "too soon" in gen 2, when there's only two gens? Even though the baby gimmick was dumb and I wish there was an actual gameplay reason to raise them from babies.
homie, we're on gen 9, like I said in the reply to the other anon, there's no reason to be recycling Pokemon from gen 8 when 3-7 are all available and there's so many in there that would really arrive with a lot of fanfare from the fans.
It's weird too which lines they're touching for the DLC.
>Applin
Already had two evos with different ideas and was a fan favorite to boot. Really feels like they're just reusing a scrapped idea. >Sinistea
Feels pretty complete all things considered and already had an unique gimmick to it. >Duraludon
To be frank, it's the most deserving of these three. Still, its evo feels more like correction than anything.
>its evo feels more like correction than anything
how? its evo somehow managed to be even more blocky and unnatural. it doesn't look like an animal and it doesn't even make for a cool robot
>I don't know why they are expanding on a gen 8 pokemon, seems too soon
gee, its almost as if it was left as an imcomplete shitmon once its shitty gimick form was cut much like half of the galar dex
I think they are realizing that they fricked up with Gigantamaxes because a lot of them complete some of the Gen 8 Pokemon concepts, so they wanted to upgrade them
Dipplin looks like it's own version of G-max Flapple and Appletun, whereas Archaludon is a different way forward for a building Pokemon
I'm excited. Duraludon has a great ability, but it doesn't have the stats to survive outside of a regionaldex format. It either needs to be a little faster and stronger, or a little bulkier. Getting even 10-20 points in either of these would make it a VGC stable where redirection is everything.
this design just goes to show that cross gen evos after gen 4 were a mistake. i don't ever want to hear somebody shitting on ambipom or lickilicky ever again
no it certainly wasn't. none of the gen 4 designs are a literal bridge. i don't even hate objectmons but it's ugly. a bridge by itself doesn't make a good pokemon design
Gen 4 started a bunch of unnecessary Evo's that didn't even follow the original theme of the pokemon. (not to mention the power creep) If anything Duraludon is following Gen 4.

togekiss is cute and that can't be said about a lot of gen 6+ mons
I'll wait to see how good it is competitively. If it sucks, I'll say that it's as shit as its pre-evo, two of the worst-looking Pokemon in the history of the franchise. If it's meta as frick and great in battling, I'll say that I always loved Duraludon and this Archaludon is my bromon for life frfr.
Normally I wouldn't care, but I'm just amazed they thought Duraludon needed an evolution this fricking soon. Unless you count the gigantimax forms for gen 8 Pokémon, they haven't done something like this since Mega Audino. Arguably it's closer to something like Dusknoir or Probopass.
It's going to be fun seeing just how the frick they animate this piece of shit running, you can tell they already struggled with Duraludon and this looks even less like it could actually move.
Not sure if it'll improve any stats by much, it might just slightly boost while focusing on shifting stats around, since even the description says it trades.
I like it, but wish it is a regional variant. The bridge form is fun too. Too bad for duraludon, his gigamax or whatever form should be his original design.
It's somehow uglier than it's pre-evo
Duraludon looks better, and I don't know why they are expanding on a gen 8 pokemon, seems too soon
i do not like many [object]mon and it is a solid exemplar of that dislike
Because everyone is sick of seeing Kanto and Johto
Gen II - Pichu, Blissey, Magby, Kingdra, etc.
Gen III - Wynaut, Azumarill
Gen IV - Budew, Froslass, Gallade, etc.
Were any of these too soon?

Scizor, Steelix, Crobat, Kingdra, Porygon2, Roserade, Dusknoir and Probopass aren't split evos
Technically Scizor is weird version of a split evo. In terms of actual stats it doesn't get stronger than Scyther.
>In terms of actual stats it doesn't get stronger than Scyther
So? Scyther evolves into Scizor.

how? its evo somehow managed to be even more blocky and unnatural. it doesn't look like an animal and it doesn't even make for a cool robot
it look like a bridge, which is better than the original looking like nothing
what, are they?
Sinistea is gettting a Regional/Convergent variant where it's made out of matcha tea and then evolves into a cake?
>I don't know why they are expanding on a gen 8 pokemon, seems too soon

looks alright from the front
It's pretty cool
One of the worst looking pokemon by far.
I was always a fan from the start. I'm so glad my bro is getting an Evo. Trust me, I was there from the start. haha
I wonder if they’ll put him in Unite or just leave Duraludon as Duraludon.
looks too stupid for it's own good
I'm excited. Duraludon has a great ability, but it doesn't have the stats to survive outside of a regionaldex format. It either needs to be a little faster and stronger, or a little bulkier. Getting even 10-20 points in either of these would make it a VGC stable where redirection is everything.
Better than duraludon. That's about it.
A fricking Abomination
Abhorrent design, fitting for a bortshit reference
I like Duraladon in SWSH, so having an evo is cool + opens up the use of eviolite on duraladon.
Also, the evo looks like a staple remover
It's just alright, but a clear improvement over its predecessor.
It's a bridge for mausholds.
Looks more like a mega rather than an evo since its just duraludon with extra shit slapped on.
this design just goes to show that cross gen evos after gen 4 were a mistake. i don't ever want to hear somebody shitting on ambipom or lickilicky ever again

I have high hopes for the arch, an evo off of a bst of over 500 on top of shillmon/dragon privilege is gonna be fricking sick
I'll wait to see how good it is competitively. If it sucks, I'll say that it's as shit as its pre-evo, two of the worst-looking Pokemon in the history of the franchise. Regular garbage compared to Duralodon being a shit-coated dumpster fire.
would have been better if it was actually the size of a bridge.
Cute

Looks okay
Him turning into a literal bridge is kind of weird. Otherwise, it's a vast improvement.
It's great. I hope they make a new Duraludon evo in each gen with different architectural transformations.
