Every system at high res produces images that are decades behind artistry. If not for high res games would have no downgrades and fmvs would be gameplay.

My take is that instead of gaytracing all the people with fancy jobs in the industry should come up with a better anti-aliasing solution than what we have now, since modern AAA games look actually horrible without it
Resolution is functionally a non-issue.
Half the anti-aliasing options that exist NOW don't matter or are fricking terrible. We'll never have a better option because engines like UE5 and our (diminishing) advancements in computer rendering allow bandaid solutions like FSR downscaling and TAA to enable companies to further make dogshit un-optimized garbage ass games like Forspoken

Gaming isn't for you. Modern consoles are just PC lite at this point.
The right analog stick is trying to fill shoes that are far too big for it, in terms of precision it can only really nudge the camera if the game's default camera has fricked up and won't let you see what you are doing. Trying to get it to fulfill the functionality of a mouse is lunacy and has caused games to play themselves just to distract people from how inadequate it is.
Emulate PS1 games on your phone or something.

Nintendo/PlayStation Japanese confirm/cancel layout is objectively correct. O is the Japanese equivalent of a checkmark, so Jap games use O for confirm and X for cancel. This makes it the same as Nintendo button layout where the right button confirms and the left button cancels. US/EU PlayStation swaps these to bottom = confirm/right = cancel same as Xbox. All controllers are backwards except Nintendo and Japanese PlayStation.

Graphics are literally too good and have become distracting. There's only so much detail you need to depict an object with visual clarity, and we've gone past it. Original Xbox was maybe as good as things should have gotten. I look at modern games, and I get a headache.

No. It's the new York map in Mario Odyssey while adding vehicles with adapted Mario kart physics in an open world. Odyssey was hot garbage as a Mario game but it could have been fleshed out to something magical if it went full GTA and added a full suite of mechanics to take advantage of open world Mario. Instead we got tiny levels and jumpy hat.
If Nintendo were to make that game for real, it'd probably be more like a mashup of GTA and Blast Corps. The game would be built around the idea of doing fun stuff in vehicles, and it'd probably be a better game for that.

If it were up to me. Switch 2 would launch free with GTA Mario Online. It would be your operating system for the game. Give Mario a phone. Launch games by using your phone or driving to a location. You can drive to a golf course to play Mario golf. Drive to wario ware building to play the new wario game. You have to pay, but every location has a free trial embedded with it. Can always just use your phone like a traditional menu system. Customize your Mario, or peach and huge roster of selectable. Just GTA online but fun and innocent and Mario.
also, katamari is the greatest unmined genre and the developers that make a more mature one with good graphics and physics will be the new kings of gaming.

Dark Souls is not an impeccably designed game. It's a slightly better Castlevania 64, with cool atmosphere. It's straight broken in places. Blight Town's frame drops were an absolute nightmare in the first version of the game.
iframe roll gameplay is a design crutch.
the main reason so many new players 'panic roll' is because it's 100% unintuitive to activate invincibility.
Souls players have been mindbroken into thinking iframes are top-tier game design because DS2 made an absolute mess of enemy AI and hitboxes to necessitate dumping ADP.

Here's a REAL unpopular opinion: You don't need ADP in Dark Souls 2. Sure, it's nice to have. But it's not necessary.
- Art direction and style is far more important than graphics for any game.
- Exclusives NEED to exist for competition
- Gachas are not automatically bad games
- Reducing the skill floor for a game is a good thing
- Game piracy is wrong
I'd say it's legitimately wrong to steal from smaller developers who are trying to make something cool, but steal from the AAA's as much as you like. They don't need encouraging.

Pirates can try a larger volume of games than buygays can and will ultimately end up playing more good games and contributing the word of mouth presence of those good games. Even for a smaller developer that will lead to an increase in awareness and possible future purchases.
A lack of ADP ends up invalidating the spacing component of the roll, due to how (as far as I could tell and remember) roll hitboxes update only after the roll has reached a certain point. If it was just a lack of iframes there would be less b***hing, since the gestures and other animations have great hitboxes.
You guys just need to get good. I beat the game with no ADP as a bandit. Lowest ADP in the game.
Playing online is free though on PC which is the only platform worth playing on
GTA III - V and all the inbetweens are so miserable. Just Black person, piece of shit simulators. Go around, be scum, and listen to the lowest of brow music. Terrible games.
