Mario 63’s level creator was fun too, I remember making some recreations of levels from older Mario games, but expanding on them in a Mario 64 style. Definitely better than Mario Maker’s level creator as well. The dev’s forums were a chill place to hang out too, wonder if it’s still up?
Thanks for reminding me this existed, will add the entire series to my flashpoint favorite games. I also liked the less well crafted and simpler Sonic RPG series, the one that introduced Seelkadoom
this and waited and jacked off to fow movies when the second they were released
now I am ruined permanently and I blame being a coombrain teenager loser in the golden age of internet porn animation
porn is nowhere as good regardless of how improved the technology and how easy it has become to make, it was a different time
at least I am not alone I guess, I always feel that there are people who are perma fricked like me. I kind of feel their energy whenever I realize this from real world and come back here.
No it's lazy, you don't even need to bother with even having image choice or audio choice.

For me, Newgrounds was my first exposure to porn via dating sim games, dress up games. I remember there was a flash game where you gave Britney Spears a dirty sanchez.
Take me back, bros...take me back to an internet before social media and smartphones. If only we knew how much worse things were going to get.
This anon pretty much nailed it. Winamp, Linkin Park, Matrix, online flash games.
there was something so fricking wrong with dmg scaling in this game
no matter the lvl or weapon or dungeon level or pvp everyone seemed to deal same amount of damage
Stickdeath
Some puzzle game where you had to be careful on how to land a rectangular block around the platforms or else it would fall off and you had to find your way to the exit hole. There were about 30 of them.
Another one that's a 3d autoscroller where you have to carefully time your jumps around a tubular road in space. There were a shitload of levels, like 90 or so. I think it had a couple sequels too. Last level was a b***h.
Honorable Mention: The Room: The Video Game, but that was like 2011 or so. Probably the last new flash game I ever touched.
I remember playing this one in my gramp’s pc, I remember that he did not let me play that one game, he had a cd with a frickton of flash games, one of those that came in with magazines, and that one came with those, I loved that cd and the Sonic mega collection one, good time
I remember never being able to conquer japan. Years later I realized they had a damage ability that scaled with opponents armor so all you had to do was fight naked and spam health potions. Absolute masterpiece of a game

Does anybody else remember Nickelodeon's clickamajigs, they were mostly interactive animations with weird toilet humor/gross shit that kids think is hilarious like snot/farts/etc
Crimson Room, Viridian Room, and Submachine were the best escape games.
the room games were always so creepy to me, it had some sort of liminal space horror going on, kept me awake all night as a kid
there was also a game about a girl losing her head as it floats in the air like a balloon which also fricked me up, I remember it being posted in my local city's forum, the thread's name was "headless girl". Wonder why this became such a core memory
>Dead Case
Fuuck yeah, i finished for the first time during the pandemic. Before i just roamed around not reading, the crying ghost was really cute until she got her eyes
newgrounds had a seriously detrimental impact on my life, it exposed me to a LOT of stuff i probably wouldnt of even known were things, at a very, very early early part of my life. im not blaming newgrounds. i saw it, and my reaction was "show me more". but, wow. what a turning point in my life.
Pico's school.
What was that game where you get the x-ray specs in the bar? The only way to end the game (I think) was to look at the guy who gave them to you. "You look at my wiener and balls and for that I'm going to kill you" He then kills you.

Anyone know the name of that horror point and click series? The first one was in a house in the woods iirc and I remember a bit with a severed head in a microwave
Cliposing Catrina or something like that. It was a game where you had to forcibley take off the clothes of and rape a sexy cat girl. It was hard to play while whacking off. You win when she cums against her will
ClixSposing Kitraandra is the name, I found it. It's way shittier than I remember lol, I must have been really horny as a 13 y/o lol
The context of doing things against her will and destroying her armor and clothes turned me on when I was young. I also thought the cat girl was really hot.
The ones I remember: >delerium: play as a turret and shoot bad guys that comes from the screen edges >some sub game: you play as a blue submarine and shoot torpedos up or straight ahead to shoot ships and enemy subs >some sniper game: a stick figure game where you had to read the scene and shoot the people in the right order so none of them notice >thing thing
those are the ones i remember right now. but that shit was 20 years ago man
Trying to find the name of flash game. It was a top down shooter where you controlled a space station with a big cannon. And the adjutant wore a garrison cap.
Does anyone remember the name of the game where you played as a cat and brutally murdered mice in a pet shop or something? It had that Invader Zim art style and I think it was made by some of the people behind the Thing Thing games? Not sure on that one
For me, it was Victor's Nightmare.
These types of games were my shit.
That Gretel and Hansel game, the one with the red alien that consumes animals and people, typing "Swords and Sandals" and some random number hoping they made another one, the stick figure sniper guy games.
I wonder how many of these gems have been successfully archived by projects like Flashpoint.
This, Xiaoxaio, Thing-Thing, and Bunnykill were all awesome
>I wonder how many of these gems have been successfully archived by projects like Flashpoint.
I was wondering about this myself. How much do these guys have?
Porn Dress ups, those dating adventure ones with characters like Spike or Welma, a Metal Slug Zombie one, High Tail Hall, Orgasm Girl (lost), Dark Cut, Zombie TDs, Last Stand, that Sakura dating game, and the Neon Genesis dating game.
i remember preloaders. Flash was pure soul, people made fun things they actually liked. Games were fun, animations had heart. Remember menus, wathcing things like Xionic madness today its not the same, you cant read bios and shit on yt. Yes you can have a flash player a relieve that, but its never the same. Remember playing a game, waiting for it to load, seeing recommended games. Waiting for the part 2 of your favourite game, simple controls. No need to make everything marketable, just passion. All is lost, take me back bros
Flash devs back then often did make a little money off their work (It wasn't only a passion thing). It was more that they tried to make what they thought would be interesting, and do their best on it. We could have an identical ecosystem right now via Unity's or Godot's HTML5 export abilities, but everybody thinks they're going to make the next indie hit. So instead of making what they find interesting, they try to aim for mass-market success, guaranteeing a bland, forgettable result.
It isn't just everyone being a pretentious c**t these days, the Flash ecosystem just inherently favoured short high-quality games with a narrow focus or unique gimmick/gameplay concept.
Flash devs were essentially paid to hold people on sites so the hosts can show advertisements. Good short unique games held people longer and made people revisit often.
Eventually hypercasual browser games were cannibalized by mobile and ad money also got kneecapped down the line. Theoretically you'd be playing Flash game equivalents on your mobile phone atm, and you did for a while, but the problem is that mobile sucks as a game machine and the mobile ecosystem favours daily engagement farms like Facebook idle games and gacha.
If you wanted to make a casual browser game today it'd probably get lost in the uncurated annals of itch.io and the only real money you'd make would be off handouts from random passerby.
So if you only do it as a hobby you might as well make a bigger game, especially with tools these days being so good and accessible.
glad people still remember about Sonny, Armed with wings, Bowmaster, Raze. There's also warlord 1 & 2, Mastermind world conqueror, mud and blood
lots of games were intended to be longer series, but most devs were just doing it out of their fun time and stopped making games
others went to release newer games on steam, but not so successful
There's this one where this catgirl wakes you up and says she ate your girlfriend, and there's doors that lead to scenes.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Probably something on [adult swim] Games. I can't remember specifics, since they released games even into the mid-2010s, but I remember the ones I played: >Pizza City >Give Up, Robot! >House of Dead Ninjas >Soul Brother >Robot Unicorn Attack

there was one where you pick a number and a guy would shit a dummy you could name, i remember the could shat boulder size shits and it was funny as frick, then i forgot about it 5 minutes later probably playing thing thing 1 or og high tail hall, the one with the femboy fox and fat titted zebra...good times
There was also Kongregate that was very popular. They had several new flash games every week at one point, and had more games than Newgrounds. I remembered I got addicted to a tank moba game called Minions. Then they got bought by Gamestop the website slowly died. A lot of the older games also just disappeared from the website. Kongregate was cool because they had a friend system with IRC, and you can coordinate and chat with anyone while playing certain multiplayer games directly on the website.
The Plasma Burzts 2 servers as a standalone game are still up bros, play if you wish, and remember.
Evil space chicken, the website, shut down, i checked like a year ago. I also miss Mochimedia, thought that was years and years ago. Fricking loved their shit.
Nitrome will never update their fricking games to html4, the fricks.
NotDoppler... is it still up?
Man i wasted so much of my life making memories
Anons, I'm looking for an old beat'em all side scroller RPG
I simply can't find it
It was a real big game with only a demo playble. You had at 2 characters, but in the demo you had only this big guy with a big sword. He had some shoulders protection and has stupidly wide shoulders
I think you started the game by being surrounded...And the game would make you use your special... It was visually very nice for its time
The craziest part about the flash site golden age is that so many of the prominent creators ended up moving on to actually work in major entertainment industries as animations, video game designers, etc. It's crazy to see old creators I used to love and follow on Newgrounds and stuff working on huge projects nowadays in their 30s. Makes me happy to see but also sad and nostalgic for the past.
a coomer anime game where you had to touch them in the right order - i cant remember if it was a different game but there was a dating / life sim game where you'd pursue anime girls. Would like to know the name so I could maybe coom once more
Did anyone play those Castle Defense games where you fend off waves of enemies and upgrade your defenses in between waves? You can buy archers, canons, catapults etc.
>tfw you never visited the forums and were too young to understand what a clique was so anytime you saw shit like this it was completely meaningless
Still got no idea who these people were or what they did
>Is it just Flashpoint?
yeah >I want to find some games I can't remember the names of.
although, i don't think flashpoint is good for that, since it relies on a search to find all the games.
>since it relies on a search to find all the games.
No way, man. There's no way they give you 2Tb of Flash games and you have to remember the names of each you want to play... right?
NTA, but they're also sorted by genre, developer, and (at least for some) extra tags.
saying that though, you might have better luck combing through somewhere with better tagging systems like kongregate or armor games to see if you can find the name of the game.
if you played this you're a real one

Flash games were good? This is news to me

Anon, the answer this time is unironically "you were 10 years old". Most of these games were dogshit.

There was also Kongregate that was very popular. They had several new flash games every week at one point, and had more games than Newgrounds. I remembered I got addicted to a tank moba game called Minions. Then they got bought by Gamestop the website slowly died. A lot of the older games also just disappeared from the website. Kongregate was cool because they had a friend system with IRC, and you can coordinate and chat with anyone while playing certain multiplayer games directly on the website.
defense strategy 1 2 and 3
Trying to find all the secret eggs while being under the time pressure of a roiling wave of death was stress incarnate

Anons, I'm looking for an old beat'em all side scroller RPG
I simply can't find it
It was a real big game with only a demo playble. You had at 2 characters, but in the demo you had only this big guy with a big sword. He had some shoulders protection and has stupidly wide shoulders
I think you started the game by being surrounded...And the game would make you use your special... It was visually very nice for its time
anyone remember the game where you beat a bunch of old people in a nursing home?
Disorderly
thanks. seeing some old pictures brings me back.
>Monday, monday, monday. MONDAY IS A GHRURUOOD DAY!
>the General and Politics boards were shut down in the NG forums
the site has really gone downhill
>Flash
>Requires you to know shit about computers
>Has TONS of great soulful games that are remembered to this day
>Unity
>Literally every moron these days can use it to make games
>There's not even ONE good and soulful html5 game
What went so fricking wrong
you to know shit about computers
What? you just went into the site and that was it
I think he means to develop a flash game. Which is still bullshit, but a more understandable mistake to make.
The craziest part about the flash site golden age is that so many of the prominent creators ended up moving on to actually work in major entertainment industries as animations, video game designers, etc. It's crazy to see old creators I used to love and follow on Newgrounds and stuff working on huge projects nowadays in their 30s. Makes me happy to see but also sad and nostalgic for the past.
name 4
Platform Racing 2
God take me back
a coomer anime game where you had to touch them in the right order - i cant remember if it was a different game but there was a dating / life sim game where you'd pursue anime girls. Would like to know the name so I could maybe coom once more
other than that, skateboarding on the roof
For me it was Interactive Buddy and those bloody games with orange cats
AdventureQuest.
I was obsessed with Stick War and a bunch of stickman games like Stickman RPG, Henry Stickman and Storm the House.
>Henry Stickman
You played the complete collection/HD remaster?
Nope i haven't, is it worth the price?
Maybe if you 100% it. Otherwise I'd definitely wait for a sale.
I guess i wouldn't mind playing through all the scenarios again, that's pretty much all i did as a kid.
Bet, my favorite one was the Diamond Heist.
Nta but yeah it is it's very fun
Every anime fighting game and sonic rpg game also a lot of stick games also only real homies remember this
Did anyone play those Castle Defense games where you fend off waves of enemies and upgrade your defenses in between waves? You can buy archers, canons, catapults etc.
Yeah sure, if you liked them then theres a more recent great series of games called Kingdom Rush, great fun.
I fricking hated everything related to Clock Crew.
i thought i was the only one. i never saw the point of it.
>tfw you never visited the forums and were too young to understand what a clique was so anytime you saw shit like this it was completely meaningless
Still got no idea who these people were or what they did
Troll spammers who did it for the lulz. It was they way it was back then.
Ja, that's the point.
So, what are the best ways to play old flash games nowadays? Is it just Flashpoint?
I want to find some games I can't remember the names of.
>Is it just Flashpoint?
yeah
>I want to find some games I can't remember the names of.
although, i don't think flashpoint is good for that, since it relies on a search to find all the games.
>since it relies on a search to find all the games.
Don't open the Adult Newgrounds Rumble 2 bros...
Where did all the shitposting in Flash move onto?
