Rocket Knight Adventures.
>Sega
>games
LMAO
Are you moronic?
Sega lost because it never had games
They had plenty of good games on the Genesis/Mega Drive.
moronic decisions by Sega of Japan is why they went to shit.
Naw, it was because they had no games
Oh. You're just acting like an idiot to farm yous, I see.
>moronic decisions by Sega of Japan
I'm tired of seeing this meme. The sinking of Sega was a team effort.
No, the pulling it out of the fricking ocean was. Sega is now owned by several fricking large companies.
Sega was fricked over by both SOA and SOJ. Anyone claiming otherwise is an apologist for either side.
almost all of the moronic shit Sega US did was mandated by the Japanese branch. just about the only thing that Sega US did prior to Uncle Bernie taking over that was actively detrimental was focusing on FMV games with the Sega CD, and that's only in hindsight because those games WERE actually popular at the time.
>almost all of the moronic shit Sega US did was mandated by the Japanese branch
Lets list them then.
>not renegotiating disadvantageous retail contracts
100% SOA's fault.
>32X
Born directly from SOA's demands to prolong the Genesis' lifespan.
>five star policy
100% SoA's fault.
>"the Saturn is not our future"
100% SoA's fault.
>Dreamcast for $199
100% SoA's fault.
The only moronic shit that was actually mandated by SOJ was the surprise Saturn launch.
you an absolutely moronic homie
I accept your concession.
>32X
>Born directly from SOA's demands to prolong the Genesis' lifespan.
And Hayao Nakayama only let them do it because he was afraid of the Jaguar.
By the way, SOA was absolutely right in wanting to keep the Genesis alive a bit longer. Of course, the non-moronic way to do that was to release more games, not some moronic stopgap add-on.
in 1993 there was a video game crash and the only thing that ended the slump was new consoles, keeping 16-bit going was a mistake but yes soa should have put out more games and stopped making so many shitty ones themselves.
Now you're just making shit up.
Nope, it was a second crash. Toys were mopping the floor with video games and 16-bit was in freefall. Both Sega and Nintendo were in bad shape at the time.
It's not a crash, it was market saturation of 16 bit machines. Also show the SNES. Unlike Sega, Nintendo kept supporting it until 96
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-11-19-fi-61239-story.html
you don't know anything about the history of video games do you?
End of a boom isn't a "crash". There was not a video game market crash in 1993. Look at 1984. Now that was a crash.
You can see the 1993 crash in that image, as well as the 1995 recovery following the launch of playstation.
Based blindgay
>And Hayao Nakayama only let them do it because he was afraid of the Jaguar
Pure hearsay. SoJ never considered the Jaguar serious competition, they were afraid of the PSX and 3DO. SOJ made their own frickup with the SVP fiasco, but the 32X was all SOA.
>By the way, SOA was absolutely right in wanting to keep the Genesis alive a bit longer. Of course, the non-moronic way to do that was to release more games, not some moronic stopgap add-on.
You're completely correct in this, though SOA's quality control was getting a bit spotty near the end.
If they could have gotten the cost of the SVP down, I was quite capable.
The SVP capable, but it generated too much heat and melted down in normal operation. Furthermore, the morons at SOJ bought the damn things in a single batch, which meant they were stuck with a frickload of faulty chips they had no way of using.
>The SVP capable
The SVP was*
>16-bit was in freefall
>posts graph that includes post-PSX years
Bait or moronic?
moron
>demand for current gen systems slows as the next gen is approaching
>Japanese companies start feeling the effect of the bubble popping
Still not seeing a crash.
That was the original plan, but the chips kept melting down even after they put heat sinks on them. They were literal hot garbage.
>Still not seeing a crash.
Only the biggest crash since 1983.
>market slowdowns are crashes
Naruhodo.
Should have made a svp cartridge with games that you inserted on top of it instead of the 32x. Could have probably made a decent Virtua Fighter or Virtua cop port with it
Fricking Altered Beast.
God, I hated that game. but it's the first thing I fricking see.
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
SEEEGGAAAAAA

On a CRT it looks a lot better.
Indian style on the floor in the garage, staring at a 11 inch CRT with my brother, I could not have been happier.

Power base converter, the only thing to make that hunk of junk useful.

Looks like a damn arcade cabinet quality.
That's Panorama Cotton.

WISE FWOM YOUW GWAVE
California Games. My cousin had a Model 1 and that was all he would play.
Literally nothing.
Oh wait, sonic I guess.
Why do people feel the need to comment if they're fricking clueless?
How terrible vectorman was amd how much my old man loved chakan the foreverman
Yeah. They really tried to compare Vectorman to DKC. I had a friend who liked Vectorman, but I never got the appeal.
The appeal was that the game had super smooth as frick 60fps animation and featured a frickload of scanline background effects second only to Panorama Cotton. Like every other level had some absurd effect going on, the Nightscape level alone has a better looking background than nearly every other game on the console. The title screen itself does practically every effect the system is capable of. And before you even get to the title screen, you get to blow up the SEGA logo as soon as the console powers up. It was also the first game I've played on consoles that had an in-game manual.
Vectorman was fricking insanely based. Shame that behind all of that it was basically a mediocre platform game, but hey, so is DKC once you take away the CGI grafix.
DKC has more going for it. Vectorman is a tech demo first, game second.
BEEEEEOOOOWWW BUM BUM BUM
wrong console, stop hitting the Hassy's so hard
easily one of the best western games for the system,if only the player sprites were better quality
Are there any of those Sega mini consoles that aren't cheaply made piles of shit with shit sound quality?
Sanic Le Autisthog
Strider.
I'm dead broke, I can't really picture this
Damn Genesis games looked like THAT?
>that fricking 3d sequence between levels
No games. Just mommy and daddy screaming.
Sonic 2
Only played the Sonic games as a kid, but going back and checking out the rest of this console's library makes me realize it blew the SNES out of the fricking water.
Ghouls and Ghosts. First game I played for it when visiting my friends house in 1st grade back in 1990. Only new about the NES and Mario back then, so this was pretty awesome. Somehow this 7 year old kid was able to beat the game with me watching that weekend. Amazing.
>ing4 no Castlevania, Contra or Gunstar Heros
No. They suck. SNES versions are better.
>Gunstar Heroes
>SNES version
Maybe on planet moron
I mean the other two, you absolute nutter. Thanks for the (you).
They are good on their own right and not the same games either.
>I'm a nutter because you can't write a post properly
I did it on purpose because I knew some autist would bring it up and give me (you)s. Don't hate the playa, hate the game. Peace.
