It came out at a surprisingly busy time, it's a new IP based on a series most people haven't seen as well.
I'd say it would be on the level of the average DQ spin-off, and that's true on steam. Only DQ spin off that beats it is Builders 2 for whatever reason.
Always with the steamcharts. If the past decade has taught me anything when it comes to multiplatform games, PC usually has the least amount of players for some reason.

The game rendered in 955p for me and text was blurry but only when the window was IN focus. I had to go inside the settings files to change this. Typical Japanese console port jank. Game is extremely mid and railroaded despite ostensibly having an open world.

One of the reasons Sand Land was never really that well liked is kind of the opposite, there was less action and flashiness than other Toriyama works and the main cast is 2 old geezers and a demon. The new girl is a brand new addition to the anime and game. I've only played for 6 hours total but it's fun so far.

Try the demo, you get some mechs from the start and you just travel around and get a taste for it but you can't do anything cool like in the main game like make new mechs or do bounties or any story content. If you play the demo for a bit and you hate the main gameplay which is fighting in tanks and mechs across sand land then I wouldn't bother. Only thing I will say is the main game is of course much better than the demo.
I had no idea this was even out, let alone cracked.
Will be playing this on Tuesday, have not tried the demo, so going in blind. I'm a bit excited for it but if its slop I'll drop it within the first 30 minutes
