Mario Wonder looks like the most innovative 2D platformer of all time. We're talking Wario Land 4 levels of greatness.

You don't play any non-Nintendo games, do you?

to be fair, all the truly greatest platformers all are from Nintendo.

wonder will be more NSB slop.
RPG will be RPG. you already know if you'll like that.

        Nah, you are a homosexual.
        Wonder looks great.

What genre do you like more?

Mario Wonder looks great. I'm genuinely "hyped" for it.

Mario RPG is a great game too. Very charming.

Mario RPG was my favorite RPG (mostly due to its simplicity -- not letting stats and minmaxing get in the way of just playing the game).

If you already played it, i sincerely i don't see the why you should buy it. Go for Mario Wonder.

Now, if you REALLY want to play it again, go for rpg only if you don't want to replay the original (which to this day it's still a great game).

SMRPG if you did not play the original one.

SMRPG looks like a 1:1 remake with cheap 3D visuals, just emulate the SNES original.

Wonder is the same as New Super Mario Bros Wii, so if you like that you'll like Wonder.

Super Mario RPG Remake is identical to Super Mario RPG on the SNES, so if you like that game you will like this one.

one is another dime a dozen 2D mario game
    the other is a remake
both games you can easily determine exactly what you're getting
why don't you buy something original for god's sake?

why does mario looks so incredibly moronic in this new rpg game?

Because he looked incredibly moronic in the old rpg game

He looks dumb but not moronic,
I like the old version of Mario compared to the new one which just looks like regular tiny mario with slightly off proportions. His eyebrows on the old cover make him look more determined.

Then buy Wonder - it's what the 6-year-old you would have wanted. Besides, it feels more like an actual present since it'll be a surprise and not an ancient game with a new skin.

Fricking frick Nintendo. I'm fricking seething that the fricking game costed $60 when it's a decade old game. And it's a dumb automatic racer with fake challenge. Frick mario kart. It was fun when I was a kid. But not now. Not for $60 for a wii game.

To bring this back to OP, I was going to spend that money on super mario rpg.

        Yeah.

Your kid did you a favor.

We played one round and were both bored.

Imagine leaving your card on a console unprotected with a kid

I definitely take all responsibility. I had forgotten it was saved on there since I never save CC details. I guess their eshop made it a pain in the ass, typing all the info out on a Switch. I also didn't realize how easy it was to purchase something when all my kid knew before this was the youtube app.

Crank it up to 200cc and learn the fricking maps - it can get surprisingly competitive, especially with a kid. It's no CTR, but at least it looks and sounds good.

you can play a better version of super mario rpg for free, as remakes rarely ever surpass the original and often ruin facets of it. probably go with mario wonder.
