one is another dime a dozen 2D mario game
the other is a remake
both games you can easily determine exactly what you're getting
why don't you buy something original for god's sake?
He looks dumb but not moronic,
I like the old version of Mario compared to the new one which just looks like regular tiny mario with slightly off proportions. His eyebrows on the old cover make him look more determined.

Then buy Wonder - it's what the 6-year-old you would have wanted. Besides, it feels more like an actual present since it'll be a surprise and not an ancient game with a new skin.
The facial expression reflects your personal development in the 27 years since the game originally released. Enthusiastic and determined back then, dead on the inside now.

>wake up to find muh kid bought mario kart 8 on my switch >can't refund
Fricking frick Nintendo. I'm fricking seething that the fricking game costed $60 when it's a decade old game. And it's a dumb automatic racer with fake challenge. Frick mario kart. It was fun when I was a kid. But not now. Not for $60 for a wii game.
To bring this back to OP, I was going to spend that money on super mario rpg.
Imagine leaving your card on a console unprotected with a kid
I definitely take all responsibility. I had forgotten it was saved on there since I never save CC details. I guess their eshop made it a pain in the ass, typing all the info out on a Switch. I also didn't realize how easy it was to purchase something when all my kid knew before this was the youtube app.
Crank it up to 200cc and learn the fricking maps - it can get surprisingly competitive, especially with a kid. It's no CTR, but at least it looks and sounds good.

amazing parenting moment
you can play a better version of super mario rpg for free, as remakes rarely ever surpass the original and often ruin facets of it. probably go with mario wonder.
Objectively the answer is Mario RPG because we've already played the original and know that it's great. Wonder looks great, but nobody's played it yet so nobody knows for sure.
Mario Wonder looks like the most innovative 2D platformer of all time. We're talking Wario Land 4 levels of greatness.
>Mario Wonder looks like the most innovative 2D platformer of all time
You don't play any non-Nintendo games, do you?
to be fair, all the truly greatest platformers all are from Nintendo.
Nah, you are a homosexual.
Wonder looks great.
What's the premise for your claim?
it depends, anon.
What genre do you like more?
Mario Wonder looks great. I'm genuinely "hyped" for it.
Mario RPG is a great game too. Very charming.
Mario RPG was my favorite RPG (mostly due to its simplicity -- not letting stats and minmaxing get in the way of just playing the game).
If you already played it, i sincerely i don't see the why you should buy it. Go for Mario Wonder.
Now, if you REALLY want to play it again, go for rpg only if you don't want to replay the original (which to this day it's still a great game).
SMRPG if you did not play the original one.
SMRPG looks like a 1:1 remake with cheap 3D visuals, just emulate the SNES original.
Just hack your switch
Do you want a 2D platformer or do you want an old style Final Fantasy game with a Mario skin
wonder will be more NSB slop.
RPG will be RPG. you already know if you'll like that.
Wonder is the same as New Super Mario Bros Wii, so if you like that you'll like Wonder.
Super Mario RPG Remake is identical to Super Mario RPG on the SNES, so if you like that game you will like this one.

why does mario looks so incredibly moronic in this new rpg game?
Because he looked incredibly moronic in the old rpg game
He looks dumb but not moronic,

Both look like a cat staring at the abyss
Super Mario RPG won't disappoint, since we already know what it's going to be like.
>Birthday money
Maybe it'll disappoint your zoomer brain though.
I'm 37, you stupid chud.
Even sadder. Just wait 'em out and buy both if they look good.
I appreciate the gift since it came from my deceased mother's college friend who knew me since I was 6.
Then buy Wonder - it's what the 6-year-old you would have wanted. Besides, it feels more like an actual present since it'll be a surprise and not an ancient game with a new skin.
That's fair.

None, get Either P5T or DQM3.
Both will be get praise and do well..
I'll admit a big part of why I'm interested in Mario RPG is because of what the new music will sound like.
How mad will you be when it comes out that Platinum is developing Wonder?

>owning a child
That's on you, dude.
Yeah.
We played one round and were both bored.

you can set that it ask for your password every time you make a purchase. Also you can write your password from your phone if you scan de qr code.

I think he's being ironic, and mocking those who do the opposite on reddit
Your kid did you a favor.
Imagine leaving your card on a console unprotected with a kid
>ESLs having kids
feels bad
Did I come off as an ESL? I must be getting old and have also lived in a non-English speaking country for over 12 years.
Let me guess, you saved your credit card info on the Eshop like a dumbass.
As much as I love RPG, go for Wonder. The latter is a completely new game while the former looks to be a 1:1 remake
you can play a better version of super mario rpg for free, as remakes rarely ever surpass the original and often ruin facets of it. probably go with mario wonder.
What? Just buy Mario Wonder
RPG is great but it's a 1:1 remake, just play the original
>Hi I own a switch
> should I buy mario, or mario?
> nah, how about mario?
> mario? Why didn’t think of that!
they are completely different games, anon.
Not even in the same genre.
Mario Wonder looks like a vast improvement over NSMB. Really a return to classic 2d Mario.
SMRPG is a 1:1 remake of baby's first RPG from 30 years ago.
Why pick only one? Get the digital vouchers deal and get both while saving $20.
Hm?
do you have an active online subscription?
if you do, you can buy vouchers for $100 and with those you can redeem 2 nintendo published games.
Interesting.
Just emulate SMRPG and keep your money
Objectively the answer is Mario RPG because we've already played the original and know that it's great. Wonder looks great, but nobody's played it yet so nobody knows for sure.
Just look at the covers, nintendo made sure Mario RPG appeals to nobody so pick the one that actually looks fun
I really doubt that's the actual cover.
i think the same.
It's just a placeholder... on the other hand, that's how it was for the japanese release.
>judging games by their covers
>thinking simplistic covers are bad
I guess OoT must be the worst game of all time then
