Bloodborne has more universal appeal since everyone loves gothic beasts and ayy lmaos. Sekiro is more uniquely focused and I think its characters are more rich for that, so I give it to Sekiro.
Can't really say because BB has been stuck on the PS jail for almost a decade, but sekiro was a unique experience with a very satisfying combat and non of the usual souls tropes or rpg mechanics.
They're threads for deciding which is the best in the hierarchy of souls games. It is an actual referential that people care about and argue with as a tool. For every new entry in any franchise, argument is had about its place in the hierarchy of its predecessors. Elden Ring was situated. A number of times was Sekiro or Bloodborne brought up as either the best, sometimes "dueling at the top" during these highly intellectual debates so these threads are it.
A bot may be used to spare OP from writing a few words. It's entirely bossible, they're getting very good.
All of these titles suck.
It's not fair to shove aside all the other games From made and AC4 is liable to be erased from Miyazaki's pedigree.
I propose Soulsbornkiroring games.
That's like asking the difference between Armored Core and King's Field. Just because two games are by the same developer doesn't mean they're comparable/ in the same genre.
I would say Sekiro takes place in a dying world. It's the Sengoku Period, constant warring between warlords and all that. Isshin gained power through a coup, and by the end of the game Ashina has fallen. You did brutally fight through all of the land's defenses, allowing for the Interior Ministry to basically waltz in.
Genichiro pursues heretic powers to save Ashina, and Isshin actively works against him by helping you. In essence, he's letting Ashina fall honorably instead of giving into the heretical ways that Bloodborne's Healing Church fell into, for example.
I think it's a beautifully tragic story in that sense, still filled with hope but in a dying world. I dunno why people dont consider this a Soulslike, the story beats remind me of it
bloodborne is better but the sekiro combat system is infinitely better
sekiro combat is the logical conclusion of soulslike combat and i sincerely hope that elden ring is the last soulslike
bloodborne 2 with sekiro combat would make my dick reach the moon
Bulls and centipedes are gimmicky fights which are pretty simplistic, but that's not rare in Sekiro. Ogres would be fine but their constant grabs make them really aggravating. Guardian Ape is one of the best fights in the game, and Demon of Hatred is alright, but it's overtuned as an endgame optional boss (think Orphan and Laurence).
So really the mechanics can support such fights fine. I wouldn't it necessarily does them better than BB more than the systems are generally better. One thing both games have in common though is that most beastly enemies are just humanoids, so I don't really think there's much of a difference anyway.
Deflection is one tool among many the game offers, and the ubiquitous nature of what it offers (time your guard against an attack to do a bit of posture damage, recover faster and avoid guard break) means it works just fine when fighting larger enemies and monsters that have slower attacks and bigger punish windows, because it already naturally isn't something you always want to do, and you have a high degree of mobility outside of it.
>muh build variety gays
Can we all just be real here and admit that From's best games are these two precisely because there is a "correct" way to play them, meaning all bosses are balanced around how you're intended to play? Besides, the minmaxing you can do in Bloodborne to use a specific Trick Weapon is 100 times more satisfying than going from a fricking strength build to a magic build in DaS, because Trick Weapons are just much cooler and versatile.
guardian ape is absolute garbage. i cant even see what is happening. lmao. also you fight 2 of them at one point. Why? Casue you will die a 1001 times kek
i didnt get the opportunity to play sekiro that much, i only got past the chained ogre and that was it, i didnt get to learn the combat really well so basically i suck at the game.
for these reasons i will be choosing Bloodborne. thanks for reading my blog
Bloodborne. Sekiro's combat is boring as shit, but people bust all over it because it's difficult. The movement is finicky and the world lacks any atmosphere.
I could never beat Sekiro and I have no idea why. I kept getting stuck on that one guy you fight on the roof after that samurai area. Bloodborne (souls games in general) was really easy for me
It's a difficult boss fight. Staying aggressive works really well against him, but you still need to learn his moves. I usually get up in his face and hit him until he blocks two attacks in a row and then deflect his incoming attack or mikiri/jump as needed for perilous attacks. If he jumps back he may then jump up and shoot 4 arrows in quick succession, but if you manage to hit him before that he'll drop down giving you a free hit otherwise just be ready to deflect them.
>implying sugars were a necessity for you to get through the game
Another episode of a shitter admitting to being a shitter. Why do anons do this so frequently when discussing fromsoftgames.
Elden Ring is better than both
fpwp
This but DS2 is better than Elden Ring.
Ds2 isn't better than anything. Not even dogshit.
2 is better than all these games
No. See:
It's considered the worst as you can see except possibly ER
hell no
M8, no.
It's a fine game, but it's the worst modern From game.
cheers
Sekiro
Bloodborne has like 5 ways to play and they're all pretty good
Sekiro has 1 way to play it and it's REALLY fricking good
if you don't like the way sekiro plays then it's awful.
Bloodborne is the goated souls game
Sekiro because its on PC.
Objectively true.
Bloodborne has more universal appeal since everyone loves gothic beasts and ayy lmaos. Sekiro is more uniquely focused and I think its characters are more rich for that, so I give it to Sekiro.
Sekiro is as perfect and simple as a game can be.
Can't really say because BB has been stuck on the PS jail for almost a decade, but sekiro was a unique experience with a very satisfying combat and non of the usual souls tropes or rpg mechanics.
>qte simon says assassin's creed clone
>le cinematic mindless hack n slash for reddit
God I don't know. Maybe ughhh, Bloodborne?
Obvious answer is obvious unless your a chud

Sekiro isn't a "Souls" game
Just say From game or Miyazaki's game
All of these titles suck.
It's not fair to shove aside all the other games From made and AC4 is liable to be erased from Miyazaki's pedigree.
I propose Soulsbornkiroring games.
Elden Ring > Dark Souls 3 > Bloodborne > Sekiro
Elden Ring = Bloodborne > DS3 (only because DS3's first half is atrocious for the most part)
Not arguing about elden ring here. It can duke it out with DS2 in another thread.
Both are great but I played bb far more than sekiro
That's like asking the difference between Armored Core and King's Field. Just because two games are by the same developer doesn't mean they're comparable/ in the same genre.
Prosthetics and combat arts are more than style points, but otherwise accurate.
Man the Shura ending is so fricking terrible
I would say Sekiro takes place in a dying world. It's the Sengoku Period, constant warring between warlords and all that. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood sure is my favorite Gradius game.
Bloodborne but sekiri is better than eldenrangs
bloodborne is better but the sekiro combat system is infinitely better

bloodborne 2 with sekiro combat would make my dick reach the moon
How would you reconcile the deflecting system with large beasts? Would probably work against enemy hunters tho.
NTA but Sekiro has giant beastly enemies already (ogres, bulls, centipedes, Guardian Ape, Demon of Hatred).
Does the Sekiro combat deal with them better than Bloodborne IYO? I have only played Bloodborne.
Demon of hatred and guardian ape, yes.
All the others, frick no.
Bulls and centipedes are gimmicky fights which are pretty simplistic, but that's not rare in Sekiro. Ogres would be fine but their constant grabs make them really aggravating. Ape fight is one of the easiest bosses
maybe you could see/maneuver if you werent right up against the wall like a moron
watch them defend this..
>Hast the flamevent equipped
>Doesn't use it
>Gets cornered like a scared animal.
>purposefully move back to the wall and record a webm of you being moronic
>get VISIBLY grabbed and pretend that's an egregious example
BAD BAIT
Yes if you teleport to the monkies hand thats VISIBLY getting grabbed wow you're so smart!

Bloodborne is just dark souls. Sekiro is at least somewhat different.
maybe from could design better bosses if they git gud at grabs lmao
Why are you blaming the game for your bad internet? baka
BB has way better setting sekiro is a better game, shame samurais and apes are so fkn boring
Bloodborne. Sekiro's combat is boring as shit, but people bust all over it because it's difficult. The movement is finicky and the world lacks any atmosphere.
Both are kino and they both cause v/ to fricking seeth. Masterpieces.

Sekiro>BB>DeS>DaS=DaS3>dogshit>ER>DaS2
If you only played Dark Souls after the PTD shit then your opinion is eternally irrelevant.
BB, but Sekiro is also very good. Those two games are the "pure experiences." everything else is a bloated mess except demon's
>Shill/paid reviews
You can't be serious?
Do you have any evidence of shilling? it's fromsoft. they're an industry darling
>they're an industry darling
They were.
They're now owned by Tencent.
Okay? All the games were made before this except ER, which isn't in the running anyways
versus the musings of moronic underaged Ganker poster #23356756?
Sekiro started the moronic "face every boss 4 times" shit, and shit exploration for sugars and potshard
>implying sugars were a necessity for you to get through the game
Another episode of a shitter admitting to being a shitter. Why do anons do this so frequently when discussing fromsoftgames.
Elden Ring with a deflect mod.
No, I do not care about the authors design, balance or intentions.
