Every slimy, penny-pinching tactic you see in games today all started with Microsoft.
EA is a close second for most of the same reasons
3 kings of goyslop
3 shitters to shit them all
3 that killed off gaming
and into the abyss bind it
Nintendo, Ubisoft, EA
>Ubisoft
>EA
Yeah i get it, laziness and greed but
>Nintendo
Care to explain why?
>Care to explain why?
The same thing as the other two
releasing the same fricking games over and over for full price thus setting a bad example already.
>Nintendo
>releasing the same fricking games over and over
really oversimplifying it, this also isn't true
NTA but it's what they allow their games to release like which is the real issue, and how they handle their console ecosystems as well. Take New Horizons for example - it skimped on features from other games like Stardew Valley such as exploring the mines which gives the player something to actually do during downtime instead of savescumming. Totk released with mostly the same content as BOTW despite a 6 year dev cycle. Pokemon games continue to be allowed to release on their platform with no QA despite being a flagship franchise for Nintendo. Nintendo doesn't care because they all make money anyway regardless of what the brand's reputation is in the long term, they will always bank on their cultists' nostalgia to give them free shilling and defense. And then you have their console's user experience, which feels like it's 2 generations behind the competition. Paid p2p with awful net code, the autistic code shit for adding friends and joining games, voice chat on a phone app, not being able to use Bluetooth headphones and wifi at the same time... its really embarrassing. I'm thinking Switch 2 will remedy some of this but man has it been rough for a "good console" gen of theirs.
I think you meant Sony, Nintendo, and Amazon
Sony only started dabbling into games themselves somewhere around 2013 with TLoU and few other things and Amazon even later than that.
>TLOU
>game
Ten thousand keks
yeah but it doesn't really change the fact.
Every criticism of 99% of gaming companies boil down to one thing, capitalism
i would say Microsoft with their homosexualry of paying online started it, but then i remember Sony exist with "cinematic" games and a lot of fricking SJW crap, both are a cancer who did the most damage to gaming.
stfu homosexual, back to China
>reeeee capitalism
Yeah because I hate voting with my wallet and being able to complain, as opposed to Great Leader deciding I have too much electricity.
Shitendo
Every single one of these companies has capitalized on making the same games over and over
Wrong; Microsoft doesn't make games anymore
I guess? They just own developers who make the games now. I know they had a few in the 90's for PC obviously, but did they ever actually make "their own" games once entering console war era?
Late OGBox-Early 360 era with Microsoft studios, yeah. But all that effort got destroyed by Mattrick and XbOne forever
Goyim-cattle NPCs did all the damage. Nobody forced them to buy and finance objectively downgrades of the medium. If you want to know who bears the last responsibility look at the subhuman, primordial biomass that's hyping up the latest göyslop on this subreddit.
Consumers buy trash and then cry about trash.
Hey now, it's not fair to single out one of them when they all have contributed a lot to killing vidya.
this tbh
though i think Capcom might be the most lesser evil of them all.
In recent years, Take2.
Sega
>muh sports games
>muh blast processing
>muh shitty platformer carried by advertising
Huh?
All Sega did wrong was try to be edgy at the wrong time, which led to a threat from the government and the ESRB.
Nintendo during the DS and Wii era.
>started the whole casual trend which led into mobile games becoming more mainstream and popular and their pracfices like f2p and iap becoming a permanent fixture in the gaming industry
PS2 already did that shit with the DVD player and making gaming affordable for 3rd worlders and blacks
>3rd worders
you mean americans? they had shitbox though
EA. EA is the only company on that list that has been hated for almost 40 years. EA introduces all the shitty things that ruin gaming, lootboxes, always on DRM, microtransactions, $70, etc., and sets a precedent for everyone else to follow suit. EA buys out all the classic studios, milks them to death, and liquidates them.
The winner is EA. All the other companies, with the exception of maybe Microsoft, just lost their souls along the way.
Blizzard
Probably EA just for the sheer number of studios it killed. Don't think the others can top that.
Nintendo
We're forever stuck with ancient hardware
>Nintendo
>We're forever stuck with ancient hardware
And games that never go down in price in accordance with the market like their contemporaries , Nintendo is still selling 5-6 year old games for $60 when I can buy games that released not even a year ago for less.
None of them did. Shitty companies who are making shit game are draining the wallets of morons who continue to give them money. Actual gamers who are interested in quality gaming will spend their money on good games or pirate the shitty company's games. This is why we're seeing backlash mounting on companies that release trash more and more and are actually starting to see tangible effects (stock prices crashing, studios getting shut down or "restructured"). This was almost never a thing a decade ago. It's very slow right now, but it's still a sign. Keep in mind that it's only things that we're being publicly made aware of. Behind closed doors, things might be even more dire than they will let on for fear of scaring their stakeholders.
The course that gaming development is taking is a natural course and I'd argue it's cyclical, akin to the gaming crash of the years of old in which the same thing was happening. The market was being oversaturated with low quality cash grabs and after awhile the market just said No. We're due for another one and the cracks are starting to get larger.
the irony of that comic artist is that he hates on everyone who even has questions regarding the recent push of LGBTGA++ in Media. I dont think he has any right to bash corporations while preaching their gospel (religious imagery was selected on purpose; you know why)
Bioware did the most damage to RPGs specifically.
everyone who names Nintendo needs to think about that for a second.
You can certainly dislike their games, but in terms of damage they cause next to nil. The only times they cause damage is to their own series. Meanwhile EA, Microsoft and Activision aquire all kinds of studios and IPs only to mismanage and destroy them in some moronic forms of power politics.
Infact Nintendo funded projects that would otherwise never happen, like Bayonetta 2 and 3.
The only bad thing they did was hunt down fanprojects for things they are about to release something for or crack down on emulation.
Valve
This is the correct answer
All those companies still need to make games to get your money which means that somewhere somehow there are still creative people trying to create art.
Valve hast lost every single artists working there because it is nothing but a lazy landlord skimming money off the top while turning an blind eye to the MASSIVE amount of illegal gambling they facilitate.
Frick Valve forever.
Post PS2 Sony.
sega is quite literally the only company that understands video games. nintendo was up there before iwata died, god rest his soul, but sega has never wavered. they always pump out unique games without fail, some are great, some are sonic 4.
pumping out one or two laughably bad games in a given series while having multiple other consistently fantastic series is miles better than:
>movie game #594937
>open world slop
>sports game release every year
>microtransactions
>remakes
Even these days a single Yakuza title has more variety than anything else on the market. Sega's game design philosophies still live on.
Rockstar
EA is responsible for the absolute state of the gaming community we see today thanks to Battlefront II so i fricking hate them
Microsoft.
>MIcrosoft: Paid online and GaaS
>Sony: death to sprites, death to AA games pushing for HD, Moviegames "experience", censorship to Japan (its, once, home)
It's an even competition despite ms being slightly ahead ngl
Probably EA, followed by Blizzard, then Microsoft.
Bethesda. Not only this, but lowering expectations in general by releasing unfinished, and buggy shit that people just eat up, and call it part of the "charm". They continue to lower the bar by huge margins to this day.
atari, because they spawned activision
microsoft COULD do more damage than them, but they haven't quite reached that peak yet
Twitch and youtube has done far more damage than any videogame company.
They're shit. But unrelated to videogame shit
That wave being built by ps1 and ps2, Nintendo cucked Sony and ps3 riding it. Things would be far worse if they did
easiest question of my life
Sony
Nintendo and the success of the Wii marked the begin of the end for me. Before 2007 video games and the internet in general were considered uncool and for nerds. After that year social media & smartphones went through the roof and video games now being marketed to your sister and old people made companies realize they can make huge amounts of money with zero effort.
EA
ActiBlizz
Ubisoft
These are the only acceptable answers. Anyone who says Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft is a braindead consolewargay.
nintendo by reviving the industry in the 80's. they should have let it stay dead
EA hands down
