        >You think I'm arguing?
I was. I wouldn't call anything you're doing a coherent thought. You're just drifting from topic to topic and moving goalposts as you reply

        >I was
Who are you arguing with? It clearly isn't me.

        >I wouldn't call anything you're doing a coherent thought.
I'm sorry you think that of nintendo (the company I'm simply accurately describing)

        >You're just drifting from topic to topic and moving goalposts
"What are the goalposts?" Please elaborate.

I think anyone who uses the term monopoly figuratively a pseud.

        >"The fact that there are few people who can create excellent games means that there are many who can create subpar games. If we leave the market to such people, anything with potential will be destroyed. The more companies compete, the more they will inevitably produce a large number of games, trying to win with the variety of software. This leads to a flood of similar, subpar game software in the market. When there are many subpar games consumers become uncomfortable. Once that happens, the entertainment market will collapse in the blink of an eye.
        >In order to prevent the market from collapsing due to subpar games, we had no choice but to "monopolize.""- Yaumauchi

They sure know their target audience alright: Adults with the actual money who think they know what kids want/subvert their kids with things they think are "kid like". They buy nintendo shit as gifts for them, the kids ask for the games too so they make sure they maintain the "family safe" trope so mom is more prone to buy the game.

If adults actually played with them, they wouldn't give a rats ass about family friendliness. No grown adult makes a game purchase giving a shit about how safe it is for kids they don't have and if they do then they're part of the cancer killing gaming.

You've had 40 years of Nintendo history too look back on and yet you failed. You are legitimately moronic if you believe this. Perhaps the fact that they kept selling the old and newer ones for the same full price let you to believe this? Which then leads me to ask why you wouldn't jump ship at that fact?

No it's because they made absolute boatloads off morons who kept paying full price so they didn't have to make a new one. Also which mario maker? There were 2.

Yamauchi wasn't the founder of pokemon

The founder was someone who went Hikikomori for 6 years out of dedication to Yamauchi's monopoly and fortunately for his incurred debt it paid off for him (and his poor father/unpaid employees working for him).

I like Pokemon because I love collecting shit, and really like the battle system

A feature in almost every-single game. Specifically, collectathons (like pokemon, gotta catch em all!) What is it you actually like about it that sets it apart?

                >No it's because
Don't really care about your headcanon. You acknowledging a decade gap in a release for the series was sufficient for my argument.

                >argument
Arguing? You think I'm arguing? I'm accurately describing what Nintendo themselves does/admits to. Frick off with your little polarized rhetoric contest.

                >The founder was someone who went Hikikomori
Ok then don't call Yamauchi the founder of pokemon moron

I never said he was the founder of pokemon, moron. I was implying the founder (of Nintendo) told you they were a monopoly, who is in a joint ownership of pokemon.

Go ask a dozen pokemon "fans" what they like about the series. When they tell you they have absolutely no fricking clue why they like it except that it was popular you'll quickly find out what a monopoly is. You'll also find out why it's stupid to ask someone to make a "better game" than a company who has never intended on making a good game more than they have about centering the zeitgeist of popularity around themselves and whatever shitty game they output.

You could make a game 100 times better than "open world" gimmickmon and it still wouldn't sell, specifically because it's not a meme.
