Why was the Xbox 360 more popular than the PS3 in the Seventh Generation of Consoles?
Xbox 360 was the first Console where you had to pay to play Online
I think the Xbox 360 was more popular in that era because it came out before the PS3 and it was cheaper, the PS3 was worth around 600 dollars
But why doesnt the Xbox Series X share the same success? Why doesnt anyone Give a Frick about the Xbox anymore? they bought Call of Duty Fallout and Elder Scrolls the Xbox 360 was the Normie Console while the PS3 was for the Otakus and Weebs why the Normies move on to Playstation? the PS5 is more expensive and they still sell more than the Xbox
I feel like as time goes on, Xbox Series X/S may end up beating out the PS5. Sony keeps shooting themselves in the foot for incomprehensible reasons and they can only ride the wave of success from the PS4 for so long.
Microsoft is dead Normies are buying the PS5 for the Brand alone is the Apple of Video Games
>Xbox 360 was the first Console where you had to pay to play Online
fricking moronic zoomer.
Should someone tell OP about the original Xbox?
did
Well to begin with, it wasn't
I don't know if this is bait, but even the original Xbox you had to pay for online.
>cheaper
>games generally ran better on the 360
>could pirate games easily
>better launch titles
7th gen was such good looking and ugly time for game graphics. The console could not keep up with PC in last couple of years. PC version were night and day, unlike how good PS4 games still look.
The graphical leap was huge though, I remember everyone creaming their pants over Gears Of War when it first came out (despite the ugly art direction).
>360 was great for half the generation, but once PS3 got out the nogaems era, it mogged the 360 hard.
Agreed, only area where I thought the PS3 lagged behind was the user interface.
I was not impressed with 360 first year. I remember seeing COD 2 on 360 at gamestop thinking this dosen't look that good.
Cod 3 and Gears really impressive me graphics wise at the time.
I had both.
360 was more popular because it came out a year before the PS3, games like Gears of War were impressive, and first few PS3 years were rough.
360 was great for half the generation, but once PS3 got out the nogaems era, it mogged the 360 hard.
In europe ps3 sold far more than 360. I had both, great consoles.
It had better games, a better controller, was cheaper (& on deals constantly), ran multiplats better, online services were better (mainly party chat & the indie arcade) and all your friends already had it over the PS3.
PS3 wasn't terrible (loved LittleBigPlanet, rechargable wireless controller was nice, UI was great and free online) but it wasn't as good overall to most people. Mostly the price and no games early on situation.
As for why nobody cares about Xbox now, why the frick would they? Literally no games except Forza 50, Halo 70 and Gears 40 which everyone is long bored of - and no hope they'll change this as they sat the entire last gen with zero exclusives doing frick all but losing. Still using AA batteries. Nobody trusts Microsoft post-2013 with their push with scummy as frick rules & constant misleading advertising. (Didn't they even try to double the online price recently? + Milo for Kinect? 'Super Duper' graphics for Minecraft? Both lies that people bought consoles, not to mention Microsoft's track record of consistently ruining everything over time eg. Skype, Windows, Minecraft, Xbox) Controller is SO much worse than PS4/5 & Switch Pro it's laughable. Multiplats look identical. Not cheaper. Game pass is shovelware pass with games you'll never own afterwards. And none of your friends have one now.
Zero incentive to own an Xbox. The PS5 does everything it does better + a little more extra with the few actual games they have.
ps3 may have had free online but the online sucked hard. in comparison the xbox live was worth it.
>paying 60 bucks monthly to access internet you already pay for is worth it
slit your throat
Anyone else think was weird MS push payed online with original xbox?? This was their first console and already they were shoving in bullshit.
Not to mention PS3 had about every feature 360 had after the first.
60 per year not per month. and yeah between the two ill take a paid but good experience vs a free but dogshit one like the playstation 3 online was.
in any case i personally pay on PC so i dont have a dog in this race.
>Why was the Xbox 360 more popular than the PS3 in the Seventh Generation of Consoles?
It only was in the US and it's because Americans are the dumbest consumers. PS3 beat 360 worldwide
why did everyone lose their shit over waggle controls when the games were really average?
>Why was the Xbox 360 more popular than the PS3 in the Seventh Generation of Consoles?
Better games, more games, better console
>But why doesnt the Xbox Series X share the same success?
bad publicity stunt with xbone
>Why doesnt anyone Give a Frick about the Xbox anymore?
that people are almost 40 or 50 years old
>they bought Call of Duty Fallout and Elder Scrolls the Xbox 360 was the Normie Console while the PS3 was for the Otakus and Weebs why the Normies move on to Playstation?
Pretty sure Xbox360 has also weeabo games
