my biggest problem with this game is that you can play perfectly and there's still a big element of guessing. i've had some games come down to a 50/50 shot in the corner.

It doesn't just eliminate the 50/50s, it removes all situations where guessing may be required, and significantly lowers the skill ceiling as a result, as you never have to think about what square gives you the best ratio of progress to danger.
